There's already a British MP asking FIFA to suspend the English player's red card from last night, citing the Balogun decision.

Whats wrong with Belgium? We wouldn't have freedom fries without them.
the opponent and even fifa aren't the point, who cares about colonialism or corruption or dead south asians at vacant qatari stadiums
our team and its play could have done the talking and that's impossible now
I know next to nothing about this sport but I know which countries where football is the most popular. Mexico and Brazil losing to England and Norway is just too funny to me.
But the best of the best for each nation are still going to play each other. It's literally what this tournament is about. It's not like he assaulted the guy to earn his red card. I understand why they make it an automatic red card cause of safety, but that's booty when every adult can see it wasn't intentional. From what I've read, this call is controversial more often than not unsurprisingly.
Make the red card dependant on the other player returning to play imo. Seems way more justified than this. I'd likely feel different if the other player was out indefinitely. Well, he is cause they lost, but you know what I mean lol. If they had another game today he'd be starting.

Or you know, follow the rules are they are currently in place.
Americans who tune in once every 4 years trying to "improve" the sport are the worst.
I don't really want to get into whether it was a red or not (IMO yes, but a yellow would not have shocked me), but Soccer/football/FIFA really doesn't care about the actual outcome of a foul, they care about the *potential* outcome of a foul. Intent is rarely an aggravating/mitigating factor. In this case, I really think people are underestimating how easily a leg can be broken on a foul like this.
The Messi one people are crying about wasn't as dangerous as this but he still should have received at least a yellow IMO. Getting that one wrong doesn't mean they had to get this one wrong too. It's the referee's discretion.
I personally think it was a justified red but I would've also accepted a yellow. But whether it was a justified red or not is a moot point now anyway. That's how it was judged during the game and the consequences have to follow that.
USA wins the World Cup or everyone’s going to CECOT
A win at home with a wrongly allowed goal. CORRUPTION!
Imagine the US wins it all (won't happen).
Trophy will come with an asterisk. FIFA didn't want to FAFO, so it just FIFA'd instead. Disgraceful, however, I'm not surprised.
England 66
Argentina 78
Mexico 86
France 98
Qatar 22
List goes on.
