As I understand it, Venezuela's constitution mandates an election in 30 days so assuming his VP doesn't try to rig that election (big if I guess, depending on how big Maduro's cult of personality was among the people who rigged the previous ones).

So there is in theory a much easier transition in power than in the past when the US has inserted itself into these situations.

Donald Trump, noted Constitution respecter, will surely follow the rules of a country he just illegally invaded.
