Haven't had time to dive into new content but just from reading the patch notes it looks like GNB and RDM players are not happy at all with their job changes.

The Command Panel looks like it's going to be a game changer for hotbar quality of life, and the raid planner looks like it's going to be a welcome addition for high level content.

Can only speak for RDM, but the change does seem kinda weird, but nothing too crazy.

Command Panel is great, I was using macros to show/hide bars with all my job switch macros but was running out of hotbar space, this solves the problem for me. Just wish there were text commands to open each separate panel, not just a general one.

Also, not sure if Jonathan Bailey was too busy due to Wicked/being the sexiest man of the year and they replaced him or he forgot how to voice Graha, but our cat boy sounds really different this patch

DRK will be next in this crusade of making every tank job a 60s burst. Summon gimped Esteme that'll passively drain your MP so the more you flood the less damage it contributes.

Anyways, thoughts on the patch so far: VERY GOOD

Battle content has been great. The Doomtrain trial has some very novel concepts using the entire arena with multi-plane spaces. The only part that felt somewhat cheap, and in the "aw, come on!" way and not the "this is bullshit!" way is the part with the roving spotlight of death where it fakes you out a few times.

Raid series was a lot of fun, I'd consider the two surfing bros the hardest one based on how chaotic it can be with the team dropping the aoe circles in inconvenient places. But overally, they were all fun.

The Mistwake dungeon was aight, but I wanted to give props to them adding an enrage/skill check of sorts on the first boss, If you fuck up or take too long and there's no more boulders to hide behind anymore, you're kinda boned. I like it.

The MSQ content felt pretty short and very by the numbers, felt like they hit all their check boxes they needed (dungeons, trial, solo duty) and got the hell out of there. I think most of the community gave positive feedback to the puzzle/investigation stuff from 7.3 so I'm surprised we didn't see any here, but maybe they didn't have enough lead time to implement it based on the positive feedback.

Had a laugh that the Christmas event is basically the Eorzea version of the Starbucks “I was there” coffee mugs.

Also, incase anyone missed it, you can get an orchestrion roll for the Jeuno Christmas theme from the goblin vendor in Jeuno by trading him one of the scrolls from either the Jeuno or San d’Oria raid. Either one works. It’s only for a limited time and won’t be back until next Christmas so get it while ya can.

The weapons you get from Doomtrain EX do a little “CHOO CHOO!” sound effect when you unsheath them. And the sound effect triggers in cutscenes too. Can be hilarious depending on the context. Imagine confronting Zenos and it’s CHOO CHOO TIME

They absolutely smashed the FF9 boss theme. I was worried that the rave vibe wouldn't fit, but hell naw; this is a bop!

I know I’m a patch late but I am loving Pilgrim’s Traverse. Favorite deep dungeon by a mile. Feels like I’m revisiting Shadowbringers every run and the random club remixes are fucking bangers. Floors 1-50 are pretty cakewalk but post 50 it starts getting spicy and downright hostile 70+. I love it.

PF for Savage this round is a particularly bad shit show. We're due for the Yoshida reminder that we're not allowed to parse I guess b/c every party mentions logs/checking/tomestone now. It'd been getting bad before but it's out of hand.

I make my own so I'm not particularly effected but I feel bad for the people experiencing the churn happening in 11. Most parties doing that have been in PF for days too which is pretty funny.
