After Trump, do people think there will be sort of return to America pre-Trump? The more things go on with T2.0, there's no rectifying the rot af the core of this country. There are millions of hateful idiots in this country that dont want to be better as people and won't want to go back to anything other than the most racist and hateful version of this country possible. We're probably going to see the dissolving of America as a country in our lifetimes. China will be the dominant force in the world and the EU will only continue to work with certain former American cities/states after they devalue the American dollar. China's population continues to decline, they'll keep getting richer from a low base but the idea that they will supplant the US as the global hegemon is pretty unlikely

as with all hegemonies the American hegemony is unsustainable, has been in active decay for some time, and the wheel of history ceases for none but extinction. the world has very usually been in a multipolar state and America lacking a significant geopolitical rival was an anomalous blip between the USSR's collapse and China's rise. the latter will likely not supplant us entire but will very probably hit 1b, if not 1a, and the rise of the rest is a phenomenon not to be dismissed as the most probable future is one sans hegemon rather than hegemon Sinicized.

the historically unequal concentration of wealth underpinned by the global colonial empires which were disbanded only in the 1950s/60s/70s is being rectified, and the single biggest driver of the US economy shrinking relatively from 40% of global GDP in 1960 to about 25% today. even if America remains the global superpower, the ability to project that power and influence foreign events will decline even without a clear replacement. id est an America with x10 the GDP of India has much greater sway than one with x3. i have more confidence that that 25% figure will continue to shrink than that China will pass us in nominal GDP, or the EU will unify politically.

I've deleted a bunch of acquaintances on my socials over this stuff. Pretty much all people whom I had no clue about politically before last year. Guess they were scared to be open about it then and they aren't anymore.

Thankfully none of my close friends. Still really aggravating to see people who I've known and been cordial with for a while celebrating all of this stuff.

Doctors, rocket scientists, lawyers, etc; anyone with a higher education in one field often times believe that means they know everything about everything else in every other field. Not always the case and some will realize they are doing it at times and have egg on their face about it but that's why cults usually have a lot of highly educated people who join up and are brainwashed super easy.

Lawyers are some of the worst offenders. Not only can they be wrong but you then have to battle lawyer speak to prove it.
