Patel announces that the FBI & DoJ foiled a drone attack plot for the White House FBI event.

The FBI director shared a story from Fox News, which reported that a group allegedly planned to use drones with explosives to hit buildings near the fight and target the crowds as they fled with a sniper team. Fox News also reported that other alleged perpetrators then planned to storm the White House gate.

Vice President JD Vance said in an interview on “Fox and Friends” that he believed the FBI was informing the public “because the scale of the planned attack is so significant,” adding that he had only just heard about the foil plot this morning.

The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool has become overrun with algae just days after the landmark underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation, leaving visitors wondering if it will be cleared in time for 4th of July celebrations marking America's 250th anniversary.

Photos taken over the weekend show National Park Service employees working to clear algae from the pool, which had turned the water green. The pool's basin had been painted "American Flag Blue," a dark navy, ahead of Independence Day. The pool in Washington measures about 2,000 feet in length and 160 feet in width.

In a statement to USA TODAY on June 15, the Department of the Interior said, "Versus previous administrations, the National Park Service is actually maintaining the beautifully completed Reflecting Pool."

In a Truth Social post on Monday, Trump announced a Fourth of July rally to take place on the National Mall "with the backdrop of the Lincoln Memorial and surrounding the beautifully new Reflecting Pool."

As an aquarium keeper, hydrogen peroxide actually does kill certain types of algae, but I think their main problem is they gotta filter it out and not just kill it.

But this is precisely why the pool bottom is supposed to be dark...

Yeah, h2o2 is actually what you're supposed to use to kill algae in small quantities. At the scale they need though they probably need something stronger and more concentrated. And they need to filter it out if they even kept that equipment inside the pool

Funny enough, hydrogen peroxide turns into water after it's done it's thing. Them pouring the stuff is funny because that's what an aquarium hobbyist would do to fix algae under tank, not somebody trying to maintain a 6 million gallon pool.
