In other shitty admin news, Hegseth is blocking more military promotions for women. For the first time in over a decade, no active-duty female Navy officers are expected to be promoted to admiral this year.

Like steroids, the problems usually kick in once you stop. Body gets used to one chem level, then even if you taper, it still goes out of whack introducing potential organ damage, depression, and all the fun stuff. Given we're dealing with the party who thinks the military should be staffed by 80's action heroes diving into enemy lines guns blazing, it's not surprising they both want to kick out chicks and basically gas everyone else up into disposable roid ragers. One more dead veteran is one less person you have to care for with VA benefits, after all.

Until this administration and its sympathizers are purged from the ranks, it's probably super important to be stressing the military isn't some get out of free card to a stable, healthy life for those currently in poverty. I know stuff like the GI Bill wants to paint that image, but there's still the matter of who and what you're fighting for with Trumpism consistently proving they're the wrong people for the job. Manpower worsens enough, you'll probably see them start to soften entry reqs, and then we can let the Meal Team Six COD cosplayer wannabes Darwin themselves in the various rich man wars. So, while it's hopeful to think we only need to hold out for 2 more years, the collective conservative philosophies aren't just gonna disappear even if Trump is rightfully shown the door. I know we often comment a big chunk of any Dem's turn is cleaning up the messes the GOP make, but things have gone above and beyond this time. I don't think it'll be as simple as asking some of the good ones to come back. Further if balance of power is still this 51/49 shit or close.
