The Washington Hilton has hosted the WH Corespondents Dinner since the 70s and the National Prayer Breakfast since the 80s. So security protocols should be routine for the venue.

It sounds to me like security did their job perfectly. No one was hurt, the shooter was stopped without incident and taken into custody, the event wasn't even seriously disrupted. So what exactly am I supposed to take out of that to justify the President being allowed to embezzle $400M? This event isn't even hosted by the administration, it's a press event. Are they going to have to start booking the ballroom? The more I think about this the more I just want everyone involved to get sick and die.

The problem is it galvanizes people to vote. I hate even saying it because I don't like the taste of being happy about citizens not voting. But I would much rather have a bunch of depressed Republicans staying home.

This kind of stuff wipes the slate clean to an extent with a lot of voters, now they'll go into the polls with a vengeance because "the left did it again" or some shit.
