The Dodgers continue to ruin baseball. Owners continue to suck. National broadcasts are even more fragmented than years past. And there is the looming lockout approaching come December 2026. The MLB also can't get its head out its ass deciding whether gambling is good or bad. Prediction Market is just a synonym for Prop Bets, right? Anyways fuck Polymarket.

But hey, at least we got some good meaningful baseball this month with Venezuela taking the title. The US was a complete buzzkill while every other team of the world had one huge party. The WBC also doubled as the Olympic qualifier for the Americas region. DR and Venezuela punched their tickets to the 2028 Summer Olympics. Now whether the owners will let players join? Who knows. Mark DeRosa will fuck it up for the US at any rate.

We also got ABS debuting this season. Some players shrank by another inch. Meanwhile Christopher Sanchez gained a full 5 inches to get officially measured at 6'6". Felix Bautista gained 3 inches because his previous official measurement was 6'5". They don't know why. Maybe they fat fingered the 5 on the numpad instead of 8. Now make a prop bet for when this season an ABS crashout will happen. Emmanuel Clase will have plenty of time on his hands to make predictions.

We're also back down to 1 AAA level ballpark (Fuck you John Fisher) with the Trop back in action. So alas no more Short Porch south when playing the Rays. The A's will be playing a homestand in Vegas in early June in another AAA ballpark. Doubt anyone would show up with how stupid hot it has already been this month in the Southwest.

I will join the Fuck the Dodgers train because tickets for NL West games @ Dodgers Stadium are stupidly unaffordable. It's an extra $50-$100 per seat going to a Dodgers/Padres game vs a Dodgers/Marlins game. Could be worse. Surge Pricing for bobblehead nights?

Finally, fuck all these subscriptions you need to watch everything. ESPN with a slate of 30 nationally televised games. Fox for Saturday nights. Peacock/NBC for Sunday nights, TBS for Tuesdays, Apple TV for Friday night, Netflix for Wednesday's opening game, Field of Dreams, and the Home Run Derby. And Yankees Wednesday games on Amazon. You got all that? Fuck it, sail the high seas.

My parents called me earlier today and wanted to know how to sign up for the Braves steaming. $100 for 140 games so not bad. It took me like two hours to walk my Mom through it over the phone. ^^;; Hoo boy It's going to be a pain when they call me every other day and ask, "What channel are the Braves on again? I can't find it." Me: "No, remember it's one of those "apps" on your tv we talked about this."
