Colt Emerson also got a big deal this week before ever playing an MLB game. I think these teams are a little nuts for doing it this way.
It's obviously a big gamble for the teams, but if the players are good as they hope they can save themselves a good chunk of money in what would have previously been arbitration years or the first couple years of free agency on those players.
I think it’s pretty similar to what the Braves did two or three years ago. Gave a bunch of their young talent long term contracts.
Orioles just did it for a few of their guys recently too after only their rookie years or some shit.
It is surprising seeing the Pirates do it considering how fucking cheap they are, but signs point to Griffin being a potentially elite talent so I understand them making the move.
National Anthem executed flawlessly at Yankee stadium for the home opener. Unlike our friends over in Queens.
Twins fans really hate themselves, this pic is from 40 minutes ago. Gates open in 20 and game starts at 3 CT
It's just above freezing and sleet is expected to start falling soon.
Will Warren is exactly the starter I expected to allow the first homerun of the season against the Yankees.
ALL FUCKING RISE!
The baseball season has officially started
The sleet is here
Target Field lost power
I genuinely feel bad for twin fans
If you're dumb enough to live in Minnesota you get what you deserve.
I don't live in Washington but ok. The fact that you think it's a hellhole is hilarious though
coors field but here’s the longest homerun of the year so far
