Yeah I can definitely see SJ go for a D, so Vancouver might not be totally fucked.

Calgary on the other hand.... /sigh. We have a ton of solid D prospects, can only hope Malhotra is still available at 6. Or something crazy like putting a package together and trading with SJ to get the 2OA while they go 6OA, which is genuinely kind of viable with all the draft capital we currently have.

Edit: Honestly, Conroy has been fantastic at drafting so far. Obviously a top 2 pick in this year's draft is the ideal, but I'm honestly not too worried. We're not gonna get a guaranteed superstar, but I'm sure we'll still nab a great player. And we're gonna suck next year too so we'll have another chance at the top pick lol
