Sounds like they're interested in a first-time coach, I've been seeing Manny Malhotra's name floated around a lot today. Honestly I wouldn't mind any of Woodcroft, Cassidy (although he seems to wear out his welcome quickly), maybe even Malhotra. There's no shot Tampa will let the Leafs talk to Cooper lol.

They definitely overplay Hughes but he's not really the problem, its that you can't trust any of the 4 guys behind him & Faber.

Their D pairings last night were

Hughes (30:35) / Faber (32:06)
Spurgeon (22:48) / Middleton (21:55)
Hunt (10:13) / Petry (9:03)

Thats way too imbalanced. 2nd pairing was the -negative plus/minus on the evening who couldn't get it done, and the 3rd pairing barely touched the ice in an OT game.

Update: 2nd pairing was a -negative in all 4 Wild losses.
