Makar or not the Avs just look like they're skating at half the speed of Vegas. They look awful collectively and it can't just be because Makar is out.

They were cool that initial year when all the other teams' castoffs formed a crazy roster. Then after that becoming the Yankees/Dodgers version of an NHL team throwing unlimited money by LTIRing everything (cough Stone cough)

I personally don't really care about how they built the team from a money standpoint. I'm down for abusing the rules until they get changed. But they've assembled far and away the second-least likeable team in the league and their front office is more obnoxious than Florida's. Even their team twitter account is obnoxious.

Vegas is filled with assholes who treat their employees/players as disposable, and have a sex-pest as their starting goalie. So they are a team that is hard to like.
