He seems like an easy layup for AEW but the roster is SO stacked. What would Ilja offer that they don't already have in Ciampa or Kyle Fletcher? I bet he could be a huge deal in NJPW right now though.

Wrestling fans deciding to start using the term fumble to refer to their prior promotion misusing them seemed to become popular with the arrival of Ricky Starks/Saints.

Which is pretty funny considering the dude was main eventing shows against CM Punk and Danielson, and got relegated to Main Event within like a month of going to the main roster in WWE.

Giulia is kind of a weird one because it felt like one of those "we're just signing this person so AEW can't sign them" kind of deals, but by all accounts she never even spoke with anyone in AEW because Rossy immediately funneled her to WWE.

I'm guessing the multiple injuries he's had over the past few years because of WWE's heavy workload may have factored into this. Maybe?

The only major injury (like longer than 2 or 3 months on the shelf) we know about since he joined WWE was tearing his ACL back in 2024.
