GROTESQQQUE is getting it's NA premier at the Japan Society in NYC on October 8th.

GROTESQQUE is a completely original animation film from the brilliant mind of Atsushi Nishigori, known for his work as the director for THE IDOLM@STER and Darling in the FRANXX and Chief Animation Director behind the smash hit film that sparked a social phenomenon Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time.
This electrifying film embodies Nishigori’s ambition to create something he is passionate about with as much passion as he wants.
Comprising of three episodes – “A(E)LIENS”, “YOROSHIKU★Girl”, and “NOCTURNE: NUIT GROTESQUE” – these distorted, uneven, yet infinitely beautiful stories melt and blend together like a chimera, galvanized into motion by the enthralling original score accompanying the film.
The film stars voice actor Kana Ichinose and actress Sara Minami, along with members of the idol group Nogizaka46 Nagi Inoue, Aruno Nakanishi, Miku Ichinose, and Nao Tomisato.
The all-star cast comprises of performers from different creative fields each bringing their own distinctive expressive talents, joined by an acclaimed cast of voice actors celebrated for both their popularity and skill. The cast also includes actor Gen Hoshino, who has long shared a close friendship with Nishigori. Together, the cast brings to life a vivid, one-of-a-kind world.
The film's score stretches across an extraordinary range of music genres, including technopop, Vocaloid, city pop, loud rock, rap, EDM, and classical music. A total of 35 artists has contributed to the film, each bringing their own unmistakable style and powerful presence.
A pop and edgy fusion of imagery and sound creating a unique world pulsing at the seams.
Aliens, gyarus (gals), vampires…
A story of “GROTESQQQUE” girls created by Atsushi Nishigori is coming soon!
Outside of films, probably the weakest season I can think of in many years. A billion sequels. Some of them are good I hear but for someone that hasn't been invested in any of them, it's basically 4 months off.
You mean "Even the Student Council Has Its Holes!" isn't gonna save anime?
There's also Space Isekai (you don't get that twist often), and a remake of Magic Knight Rayearth, and the Suikoden anime.
I'm an isekai slut, so it's decent eating for me.
Depending on where one falls with Korean VRMMO webtoons, Overgeared started its adaptation with "Tempal - Item no Chikara" with some obvious tweaks to be more JP friendly. There's a lot of source material to cover, so it's something that may span multiple seasons over time if it picks up. Otherwise, I'm still waiting to see what pops up with initial airings since I'm up to like 10 shows atm.
Oh man Overgeared, I lost track of that after the vampire city arc.

Watching Tank Chair and it reminds me of the animation from Sturgil Simpson's Sound and Fury. I weirdly like this.
Murcielago's getting an anime!?
How in the hell...
For the last 3 years, I’ve spent my free time hand-drawing an animated short film. It’s a fully solo project, from storyboard to animation to music. Orbital Drop is my love letter to the anime of the 90s and I’m so happy I finally get to share it with you.
Nah, you gotta post the EN one, can't miss that tagline:
