If my memory serves me correctly, I believe our NIN's still use +evasion food. Don't take my word for it though because I'm not 100% sure on that.

I pick that over evasion, cause no way a High Level HNM is going to miss you XD (ie Nidhogg,Kirin, Beastmen gods etcetc) so it would make more sense to take up the other gears~I Mean Scorpion Harness is good, but sometimes would pick Arhat's Gi+1 over SH. Genbu's Kabuto > Optical Hat as well for the higher lvl HNM....just my 2 cents :D

Let us RDM/NIN's get that sexy Provoke helmet from Vrtra while we
boost AF1 hat (Fast cast ehanced), AF2 Body (Fast cast enhanced) and Speed belt + any other haste equip that's decently good and some
accuracy stuff.. yay for the RDM/NIN with extremely low recast and cast times!

We'll tank stuff faster than a NIN could :x
Switch to provoke, switch back for utsu, cast some hate magic from time
to time.. don't rely on lazy RDM's to refresh your MP like the PLD has to..
Don't have to rely on getting Hasted like the NIN.. ah.. things are so much easier
And we have Stoneskin and Phalanx as well, yay for us >.>

IMO best ENDGAME gear for NIN are the following 2 sets

HP Gears
&
Haste Gears
HP Gears wont get u one shot as easily...and can never go wrong with a 27second(or something like that)on Ni with full haste gear + Haste =x

I'm not exactly the richest person ever even though I play NIN.

I don't even have Scorpian Harness like many people expect me to.

Haste Gears are expensive as hell. I can buy stuff that cost around Fuma Kyahan, etc, but things like Speed Belt are way out of my league (my play time is way lower than the elite people: Someone got a job from 65-75 in about two weeks, while my NIN stayed around 67. See what I mean?)

I'm a tarutaru NIN, so I don't know if HP gears would just balance it out or whatever...but what do you guys recommend?

Evasion is very much useless on everything BUT exp mobs and below...so u can pack SH+1 and all the Evasion HQ gear, and it wont do jack against most upper level HNMs (maybe miss you once every 20 mins? =p)

yeah, end game as a taru nin you need HP gear. I'd look for bomb queen ring (+75hp) and try to get AF2 pants from dynamis-sandy (+40hp) you should try to get your HP pass 1100hp lol. My hp now is about 1030 and it's really bad because 1 hit knocks you down to yellow. (marathoning kirin is a pretty bad) Try to get Genbu's Kabuto (+50hp) for hnm fights and seiryu's kote (+50hp) if you are lucky not to have anybody who needs them. Plus what nin doesnt want +15agi .

Most of the stuff end game helps boost your HP for those fights that you pretty much have no chance at evading an attack. That bieng said, soulvoice+Mambo works miracles not to mention full moon and fenrir.
