I imagine him to be very close to Omega Weapon in FFVIII or Ozma in FFIX. There's a good strat to beat them. But you screw up, it's game over.

    Something along that analogy.

Omega Weapon is skill, Ozma is pure luck. I'd imagine Dynamis Lord somewhere in the middle.

Dynamis Lord doesn't take skill nor luck. It takes having enough damage jobs and enough chainspell stunners. If you have those two then it's practically a guaranteed win.

I would not say such a thing like "it doesn't take skill nor luck" A lot of things can go wrong like 1 violent rupture not getting stunned (it happends) and killing 75-80+% of the people, Unable to recover and zenmetsu.

Like you said before, It all depends on the quality of the linkshell/people in it. A linkshell who's cleared beaucedine chances are will reach the dynamis lord on the first/second run but i guarantee you they will not beat the DL until their 6 or 7 time. Even with stunners i've wiped to the dynamis lord because a lot of shit can go wrong. There are good days and there are bad.

Well true, but if you have Lori quality RDMs then chances of a WS getting off are really reduced.

I thought the whole point of having 2+ RDMs Chain-stun at the same was because sometimes Dynamis Lord resists Stun... cause if so that sounds a lot like luck to me.

Quicklet, you said it doesn't take skill nor luck, but you just need "enough" of appropriate jobs. How much is "enough"? and if you don't have that much, it's impossible? I'd say it takes both skill and luck to do it with anything less than the number or rangers and/or black mages most linkshells recommend. We had 5 rangers and 7 blms in our loss last night and I think we can pull it off; I hope to have good news on Saturday. :3

Omega Weapon in FF8 is not skill, get enough ways to keep yourself Invincible and you'll wipe the floor. 'course, when I did Omega I got Lionheart off like 3 times in a row <.< Still, besides that point.

Ozma...is a joke, don't know how you deem that to be biased on luck <.< Hell, I kill Emerald Weapon in FF7 using technically only 7 character rounds of attacks :D Going in with Lucky 7's effect rules :D

Okay well think of it this way. Beating Dynamis Lord is a matter of DPS and stunning. If you have enough DPS to kill him within the amount of time your stunning accounts for, then generally speaking it doesn't take skill or luck to beat. Not in the same way it takes skill or "luck" to beat Vrtra or to beat Riverne A01 BC. Think of it like the BC50 time bomb or the snoll tzar BC (or even the Tenzen BC). You either bring enough firepower or you don't. If you don't have enough firepower to do the job in the allotted time, then you made a mistake in not bringing enough firepower.

Unless your stunners mess up at spamming Stun every 1-2 seconds, what skill or luck is involved in shooting/nuking an immobilized target for one or two minutes? You either have the firepower to do it or you don't. Sure, if you want to use a strategy that leaves a lot more up to luck, then that's your choice, but if you're talking about the *best* (i.e. most efficient, shortest, and safest) method of killing Dynamis Lord, it's mostly about job composition and very basic direction following. If you can kill something in under a minute with no deaths because you have the right job composition, then yeah, you didn't win because your RNGs were skilled at all hitting barrage, WSing, shooting, and/or reraising themselves. You won because all those barrages/WSes did enough DPS to win the fight.

that's about 99% of the game right there.

Replace dynamis lord with one of the 3 wyrms, keep the stun and replace the rangers for summoners with garudas/lev.

It just seems poorly designed because I don't think the vast majority of linkshells can do the *best* and most effecient/quickest way. I know we don't have 15 rangers; we're pleased with 3 most runs. ~.~

SE created dynamis to house 64 players at a time, they may have intended for linkshells to have to team up and work together to win it

Omega Weapon is skill, and kinda fast reactions cause if you can't keep yourself alive through items and damage him you're fucked. Even what you said donates that Omega takes some skill. I got Lionheart of quite a few times, raping Aura is fun.

Ozma, trust me, is LUCK, he took me out in 2 rounds before, after a few tries of luck, I killed him easily because he decided to go retard on me.

Lucky 7 sucks, Quad'ing Knights of the round with w-summon a couple times owns >.>

We actually had one of our rdm's crash right when he was suppose to stun lol. Got owned so hardcore. ;3 Also have had a time where both stuns were resisted at same time and then he used oblivian smash or something and owned our rms and then summoned and finished us off. I dunno is some luck involved.

actually linkshells can only hold 64 people, so that may be the reason.

impossible but if we do it with 30+ (number of people that go to dynamis)

    I'm sure it's possible.

with all due respect, you're coming to a conclusion that the DL is nothing but a joke and requires no skill/luck but what are you basing your opinion off from. What you've been reading in the internet and the videos that have recently been released only show a fraction of the shit that goes on.

People and linkshells don't want to release more and more information because clearing dynamisx is something not everyone out there can do on their own. It's something you have to experience yourself to fully understand it.
