You all seem to be missing the point. Clearly its not Squares fault or Heartily that the nobles was mispriced. Having said that, it IS her fault to not return something she knows technically shouldn't be hers. Again, its just social civility. I know damn well that if Heartily accidently mispriced something so largely, she would want whoever bought it to not be morally unstable.

this is exactly what happened .. and im really sorry for disappointing Knights in me.. they even had this as a surprise for me.. i wasnt with them when they got the cloth.. man i couldnt sleep well last night ; ;

If you explained yourself in a calmer and kinder manner I would most likely understand your situation and actions. Business is business, you are right in that matter, but morals are morals as well. Some individuals take advantage of a situation that best benefits themselves regardless of how it affects them or others, while some individuals put the benefits of others before themselves even if these actions may be inconvienient to them. Even though this is just a game, your actions in it reflect on who you really are in life. If you could put yourself in the place of the person you bought nobles from, how would you feel? Knowing that a simple mistake cost you and your friends' so much especially after putting so much time and effort to get that item.
Its all up to each individual on how to act towards such a situation. Some people would take advantage while others would not. It sucks these kind of things happen, it sucks (in my opinion) that you are willingly taking advantage of errors people make, but hey who cares. You are an individual, these are just opinions of others. You need not read anymore nor respond because the underlying fact is, It Is Your Choice. You can choose to do the morally "right" thing to do by giving the item back or leave it be and go on with your life. You choose to be who you are and how people see you.
Whether it be seen as right,wrong,fair,unfair,justified,unjustified, it is indeed a simple choice that reflects the true essence of your very soul.

a RL example, you go to buy a bottle of water for 5.95, you had the clerk 10 dollars, for some reason the clerk makes a mistake and hads you change for 100 dollars... then! the split second he does so, he says, "hey wait, i just gave you 90+ dollars in change, my mistake... " and you say , "NO! MY LUCKY BREAK FKER~!"....

It's not stealing, because it's someone else's mistake, but it sure is an asshole to not give it back...

In the RL example, someone could lose their job and be caused much grief. It's a shame that there are people out there that are willing to "Screw ppl over" or "Make people suffer" to get ahead... but the same person mite not do it in a RL situation... it's that whole E-Distance thing if you ask me.

Ok first of all i would have given it maybe back if i knew that person, but your example isn´t really good ! Let me give a compareable example :

You see something on sale in a grocerystore for example for 599 Dollar a PC (by mistake), but it was supposed to be 999. In germany you have our right to buy it at that price then for 599 Dollar ! Same goes for the NT, it was put on sale for 14 Million by mistake, and a person bought it. Or like my cousin had the luck. he bought a used BWM that was supposed to be worth over 25,000 Euro but the price was 19,000 showed. He wanted to buy it, then the person sold it to him for 19k cause it was the SELLERS mistake ! Of course he could have said no about selling tha car, but it was just an example for mistakes.

If i would get an Erase long time ago for 30k when it was 300k i guess i would have not returned it, why is someone a bad person when he doesnt do? then he is greedy? So if someone else is stupid your are greedy?
If i would have known that person about Erase for example it all depends on if i know that person. When someone puts something on Ebay for 10% fastsale or however its called in english on sale and didnt want to but it got sold. And then you talk to the buyer and tell him u were wrong, but the buyer refuses... what would you do then? go back to life and live with it... that´s so easy ! BOth is aceptable, refuse or accept ! Bert if you would have seen a aution for something you wanted and its 10% on ebay and you would have got the auction would you giv it back? Let´s say a superbrandnew PC for 100 Dollar or a X-Box for 20 $! Let´s just use the Ebay example for everyone !

in real life you have to live with things like that too, so live in FF with that too if you made a mistake. because then its your fault. Of course it would be nice to get the item or money back ! but you can´t point at someone that hes a thief cause he makes 10% bids. That´s a part of the game.

Frankly, I am rather offended when you call people who make mistakes "stupid". That word in itself is very horrible. And you obviously fail to recognize that supporting behavior that in considered to be immoral in our society is indeed "bad". In this very issue, yes soi is a bad person. He may not be an all around bad person, heck, I'm sure he's probably a nice guy when you get to know him, but he has his faults and this is one.

we are humans .. not machiense .. we make mistakes and its common.. but we can do what machienes cant .. we can be more understanding? we know that the other person did a mistake and its gonna cost him something .. but are we that lame to just make ourselves happy and run away with something we really didnt achieve or earned..

Being in my LS for over a year.. and working my ass really hard to earn such thing which i call it "My Trophy" and lose it for a stupid AH mistake? and for a person who was bidding with 1 gil then 100 then 1000? .. it really pisses me off.. and i wish it stayed there at least for 10 secs .. the moment it was up in AH and it got sold..

i would honestly return an item if i felt i didnt earn.. no offense, but keeping an item which i dont really earn makes me feel like a thief .. coz thats what they are all about .. and thats maybe how berticus looks at the situation here.. but i would preffer to keep the blame on my self "The seller" and deal with "The buyer" as a human and with morals.. and as Blazer said .. the actions that the buyer will take reflects his own soul.. i cant* force him to give me back what i sold.. but i'll hope hes a person with a good soul

someone bought a stack of tree cuttings from me for 700k, i returned all his gil back, i grew good reputation and made another 10 friends from that. ur on an online game, u need friends to do anything in this. keep ur reputation or not. there is no limit time. think about it. u can return the tunic back and regain ur friendship. or just walk around with that gil and looking at ur self in the game all day while having just 1 or 2 ppl to talk to.

i have no right to say anything really. but think about it. u have time to take it back. this is not for u soi. but for everyone in this situation.

Why is an example where someone pays with a 10 Dollar bill and get back for 100 Dollar same then what happened?

It was about someone bought something at a lower price then it was used to be.

And i guess it would be same in America too. Long time ago we had a comercial at a store like Fry´s Electronic in Germany, where PS2 was put by mistake in comercial for 49,95 Euro instead of 149,95 . So ppl came there and bought it. When that happens in america i am PRETTY sure you can go in there when it opens and buy it too till they realize. cause it was their fault ! Then the person who made the price will be punished and not the person who bought it for the listet price !

Well the 1k thing happend to you is something else, well it was not smart too, but in this case it was really bad and that sucks even more. I don´t wanna say i would hv not returned it, but ppl have to live with it when they made a mistake and get a refuse !
