I don't think he is gay, but I do acknowledge the fact that he has mental issues, and to be honest, I would too if my family/clan was killed by my own brother.

I do like his character development though. Very interesting because its unpredictable, unlike Naruto's who has no past, just one on-rails character destined to be the best.

As far as Itachi goes, he is my favourite character of all time. Its just too bad that Sasuke will kill him at the end of the series.
