There's an Odessa in my LS on fairy, this very well could be her I'd have to check.

The best part is how she's a WHM. Lvl 37 Elemental Magic skill GOOOOOO!

I can just about guarantee that it is not a level 83 fafnir (what it would roughly have to be if the person is 75). Therefore, I can think of 2 reasons for only 44xp.

1. The person is way under 75. They possibly could be a summoner for earthen ward or a bard/rdm/whm for support. (where level on some aspects is a lot less important than other aspects of the job)

2. There was a beastmaster that stuck a level 79 darter on it causing the xp to be calculated by the highest party member. (the darter) Or maybe in addition to the charmed darter the person in the picture was a beastmaster and still had the pet charmed and took the 30% reduction when it died.
