mnk pt should be called "hp burn"

did something like 32k in 3 hours or so last night with rng rng rng mnk brd rdm, ondori was mnk/war and actually provoked off rangers and used counterstance. he was getting hit for almost 400dmg, but everything died too fast (and he did counter a lot..)

but seriously, just use the name of the jobs that constitute the majority of the party... black mage pt, rng pt, etc

with beserk counterstance and only +5 counter and melee gaiters (increase counterstance effect) was countering close to 40-50% of all attacks... now i can get up to +18 - +21 counter and with the new counter earring more... also wana try +5% merit counter...

Was attacking 2 times for each ranger attack with 20% haste items and haste spell... 2-5 hits each attack round for about 85-120 each... and with destroyers my delay would go from 96 -> 48 i believe... that 2x as fast so 3-4 attack round of 2-5 hits for each ranger attack round (shotting only)... also with counter your are doing an extra 100+ damage to the mob 2-4 times a fight... in other words .... it works well and could work even better...

my theory is + counter , or + rapid shot ... or + any JA or JT for any matter is equal to 1 %. 1 pt = 1%.

my WS was getting up to 1100 damage while rangers some times got up to 1600+

even with all that stuff... i still only did about even or a little less then the rangers, but with a few gear enhancements i think i could do more damage...

but 1200-1400 barrages and WS are hard to beat... expectally with a ridill.

I've seen similar, we used to have the top NA MNK in our LS and common sky party would be MNK/NIN,rngx3,BRD,RDM and the MNK (obviously without voke) could still own the RNG's and was tanking almost 100% of the time.

As much as I've made fun of monks, a fully pimped one is just fierce.

Astruan Fist did an avg of 950-1050... highest was about 1110

Slug shot was doing 1050->1550 (they were play with ammo and weapons, someone was using my hellfire +1 for a lil' while i think)... highest was about 1620.

If i could get and unlock destroyers and keep on counter gear at all times(lossing about 10-15 attack and about 8 - 10 str and some accu), i think i could tank well enough on MNK/WAR cause i did so last night.

But MNK/NIN is good, but losing warcry, provoke, and beserk really hurts... that's why i'm trying to maxing out MNK/WAR.

Well, I was in BLMPTs at ~62-63, with one at 67.

However, they all sucked because no one knew how to do anything at all. 4k/hr, tops.

I preferred RNG RNG RNG NIN BLM BRD. A lot. All I do is sit back, stun when someone takes damage, and cure after that. Piece of cake and quick as hell XP.

I got a raxa, 6 stacks of light crystals and 7 mythril ores, party didn't cost me a thing, and I went from 14,500/44,000 to 43,999/44,000, so the goal has been reached.

My slug was a bit weaker, roughly around 850-1250, but I choose to not use atk food and instead use sushi, so that I could have a near 100% accuracy rate with kriegs and ridill. Hitting for 50-70 dmg 4 times in a row followed by a 150 dmg shot adds up, at least imo.

If you got a BRD playing double Minuet it's usually better to use sushi, and 2x minuet would add about the same or more then normal attack food does, plus you have the added benefits or more HP, DEX, AGI, Acc and Racc that attack food gives, not to mention Madrigal I is extremely crap anyway.
