if you talk to maat though (even on a lv1 job), it says he wants a testomony and you can fight him...so maybe you dont even need lv 66+, just to beat him on all jobs.

and yes Maat says that about any job you have. but i was told you get rejected at the BC when you try to trade the testimony if your job isn't 65+.

I still keep meaning to try fighting him on a lowbie job...I have most to 37 at least. I'm thinking thief...buff on the int gear, get an int potion, wear a rabbit charm, run in and steal. Use 2 hour and a reraise item to run out of way if you fail, die, and try again. *If*, as I'm told, Maat mirrors your level, then this could quite possibly work.

It has to be bs, where is the picture of the maat cap, or a cutscene picture that the quest was gotten or something? I really doubt SE expects anyone to get lvl 75 on all jobs, if that dude has all his jobs at lvl 75 and not photo shopped, then all i can say is he/she is probably a selfish fuck that never stopped a second to help anyone out along the way, and id also say anyone that takes the time to do that then begin doing hnm and dynamis after, noone will want them to join or let them go to dynamis with them. How many friends can he have if he just xps all day long?What would be the point in everyone eventually having all their jobs at 75? Most people ive met who had several lvl 75 jobs early on werent very good at atleast one of them. Seriously, this is some wack shit if SE really made a quest like that, like they challenged themself to what would be the ultimate timesink? /agreed... But if you look at the 2 screen shots on that link... one is of all jobs 75, and the other is of him getting mat's cap...

He also listed out the dialog, and said that once he beat mat on all jobs that he recieved it.

hate to say that it sounds real to me... BUT! like someone else said, if it's all jobs that you have to beat him with or if it's just 5-10 or something, has yet to be answered... also if there is some way to engage him pre 65 or 66 is the second question. if it was every job to 30 or 40 then fight him and get that item, i could maybe understand... but .... sheshh... who knows.

Just think of all the time you wasted camping HNM's...lets see. lets say 2 hours each camp, 3 HNM's...6 hours per day. 7 days in a week, 7x6 = 42 hours in a week wasted camping HNM's. 30 days in a month, 42x30 = 1260 hours...in just one month, wasted camping HNM's.

1-75 (cap 75) is a total 845350 xp gained. Now, lets say you XP a VERY dismal 3k / hour for your career from 1-75, you take (845350 / 3000), and you get 281.783...282 hours to lvl from 1-75 with a dismal 3k / hour. So, in one month, if you didnt waste your precious time watching 3kings pop claimed, you could of lvled (1260/282) 4 jobs to 75, and leveled another to 63.


Been camping kings for 4 months ??
1260 x 4 = 5040 hours wasted.
5040 / 282 = all jobs to 75 with merits.


simple math > you.

(take note that this isnt even taking into consideration that you dont NEED all jobs to 75, but just level 66...I'm just defending Mumu right now. I spoke to him momentarily, he's a nice guy; doesn't need trash like you belittling him behind his back.)

check aras avatar, do you see the koenig body? thats a screenshot not model viewer. So no i dont think i wasted time camping ground hnms. Maybe you would think it was wasted b/c you wouldnt have gotten the drop? I lvled blm to 75 to play the game, and lvled subs that worked well for a blm. I exped so i could do endgame as my chosen job, the one i liked and stuck with. Your figures dont include the time you would be seeking as a thf, drg, etc. Some jobs dont get snatched up, the whole line of melee dd jobs basically youll have to make your own party, and find those jobs you need to make a good party that will be fun and get good xp, so itll be more likely itll stay together. Your figures are ambitious but misleading to anyone who will look at them and not stop to think about it. I had to stop playing ffxi for awhile, wasnt sure if id make it back, but i will b/c of my friends. id rather my friendlist one day say its full then to have even 2 jobs at 75.

edit: Being proud of achievements that i didnt gain anything from yet had a part in, stopping playing ffxi for a little while when i was transitioning out of the military (now in school, have a part time job, and moving into my own apartment on june 1st), or what exactly makes me trash in comparison to mumu who you had a "momentary" conversation with? Point your finger elsewhere little one.

You're forgetting trivial things such as sleep, expelling bodily wastes, and eating. But then again, to be a truely hardcore FFXI player, none of the trivial stuff really matters.
