Question about BLM AF boots quest

I soloed the Demons as a WHM and opened the door as a WHM, only just last week but the BLM boots are crap.

I am trying to get 5-1 done soon. (I.E. today.) When I do 5-2, I can show you what door you need to trade to. (I have helped quite a few BLM with this quest.) I would go on BLM just to be certain, but it seems like a bunch of people have done it on other jobs, so job probably doesn't matter.

i thought i had tried every Ore Door, and the map I found on allakhazam with a line drawn with a path to the door was completely wrong, but I got it now

Yeah, that map on Alla was pretty damn confusing for me too. And like everyone else has said, for quests that require Job Specific abilities, you obviously need to be that job; every other time, yu can go as any job.
