Honestly, if you watch the video closely, Fafnir pops at about a 90-degree angle to Jonesz. That's within his field of view. Computer speed can make a large difference in how fast Fafnir spawns (everyone's missed animations because their computer couldn't keep up with them), meaning just because he's voked before this guy sees it doesn't mean much.

if you watch the video there is no provoke animation and he walks to fafnir before it even pops on screen. and notice his macro "Nidhogg, this pull was for <whatever her name was> my dear!" it's quite obvious. go read his posts he admits to botting on his own forums.
