Well, if you wanna solo it go for it, but don't forget Joyeuse is a 35 DMG weapon, so you'd need to get a lot of STR + Atk to break 100 per swing, even if Joyeuse is piercing, also, with BRDs low sword skill you'll have terrible accuracy, and the fact that Fast Blade won't hit for 800. Doing Roc with a Sword as a BRD is a nono. But hey, i'll shut up about it now, you go solo Roc and tell everyone, and i'll take my cake and eat it (or something).

Since when does Roc drop cake .... jk. Question I thought that they made it so that most mobs build resistance to sleep over time now. Does that not include lullaby from brd?

Fafnir DOES build resistance, you just have to be smart about holding him so he doesn't build too much resistance at once

I swear that there was an update that dealt with mobs actually developing resistance to sleep (although it was never clarified if it was sleep spell or sleep in general) maybe I am wrong, or confused I will look though see if I can find it
