I can spot a Gillseller from 5 zones away.. All those guys who barely meet the Dynamis requirements must be the RMTs. I'm talking about the people who are only Rank 6 and barely over 65. Some of the Rank 7s are probably RMTs also.

Wow. Well, apart from clarifying im not some Chinese gil seller who lives in a cage and is paid in peanuts, I wanted to just post my opinion. These people are not evil. They do not spend hours contemplating who they will MPK next. They do not pay the ls, they do not give us gil "discounts". I frankly dont give a shi* what anyone thinks about gil sellers and what they think of me for defending them.

I have a pic here of hotume, who is a supposed "gil seller". Notice her speaking in ls chat, and how she/he reacts during our most hectic hour. It was during this time our ls was cheering us on to take down the Mobs that had wiped a large portion of us, and Hotume's reaction sets an example of an otherwise unseen facet of "Gil seller" behavior.

Does that seem like a stoic, cold-hearted gil seller who is evil, who feels no emotion, and only cares about leveling and getting gil by camping HNM's and MPK'ing people?

I think we should think twice before we judge people so brashly. I think they are just trying to have fun like anyone else who pays $14.95 a month to play this game. And thats all im gonna say.

Although the principle may be similar...there is such a huge difference between killing people and selling gil.

Try telling leather crafters to stop buying Amemet Skins. Best of luck on that, considering they make their money by making Amemet+1's, among other things.

What I dont understand either is why do people point the blame solely on people who *sell gil* when there would not be a market if people bought it in the first place. Im sure 10-35% of you people who flame on these forums are gil buyers or have bought XXX amount at sometime.
And how many people sell gil to pay for their game play ? I'm sure quiet a few people do but they dont get pointed out.

Well for one thing if they are giving us gil then they aren't selling it not saying they are because they haven't offered us any gil what so ever. And they are getting nothing out of us that pertains to gil

I don't doubt that these gilfarmers are nice people. however, their very exsistence is upsetting my as well as others' enjoyment of playing this game.

Don't get me wrong, I don't RMT. I'm against RMT and certainly don't condone it. But regardless of who's currently monopolizing an NM, the moment one group stops, another begins. And regardless of HNMLS getting the same mobs constantly, regardless of why they are doing it, its still a monopoly. I'm not saying its fair, but everyone does it, and/or tries it.

I was so incredibly pissed to hear that this guy in my LS was befriending gilsellers

i forget who personally said it, but if anyone actually thinks that they are going to stop selling gil you are gravely mistaken. if they found other jobs, they wouldnt be able to play this game 24/7 like they still do.

wanna do the right thing? screenshot the log next time u see a fucking gilseller say to you "we arent going to sell gil anymore" and send it to a GM. the fact u had the oppurtunity to do so and didnt just provides more evidence for your condoning their actions.

actually it would. giving gilbuyers better gear doesn't make them buy more gil. Giving gilsellers better gear help them sell more gil, theres a difference here. As repeated several different times on this thread Makochin we specifically told them they would not be allowed to lot on ANYTHING. They didn't recieve any AF2 nor will they probably ever will.

they've never done dynamis before. You guys are letting them learn your dynamis strategies which will allow them to do their own dynamis in the future. The fact that you guys are letting them experience dynamis is already helping them, whether or not they get af2 this time is not important.
