As a side note, the other day FantasticImpronptu LS held Fafnir with a very small amount of people while waiting for the rest of their members to get to Dragon's Aery. We called a GM, and of course by the time a GM responded they had enough people to fight it.

Now that you know this, you have a choice. You can do nothing, or you can take action in one of two ways:

1) You can be like Fatality and Canibus and alleviate your sexual repression by getting off on breaking the rules in an internet video game

Also, if you even read Joft's post, he didn't call the GM on you for holding, he called the GM because you were insulting others in say like a 5 year old child.

the "you" being Canibus. In any case, of the BG posters in that thread, none of them really agreed with what Joft said about holding, so if you have a vs Joft thing then whatever, I don't care and most other people probably don't really care.

What's more important is what the official policy on holding is (if you even can come up with an official definition for it), which according to GMs, is that it's ok to hold NMs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, it's wrong to hold NMs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and it alternates on Sundays every week.

If you want a working definition of it, you can say that claiming with intent to kill as opposed to claiming with intent to shift the pop window hours ahead are two different things, the former being generally accepted and the latter being something that usually isn't done on the server. It all depends on a case by case situation and you can equally make the case for holding in some situations and against holding in other situations. Either way it's a completely separate topic from what's actually going on.

Anyway, I have to say I'm with BG on this. Using the "oh we haven't claimed fafnir ever so we wanted to kill it" excuse makes no difference to "oh we didnt want to CFH on it but since we've never claimed it we wanted to kill it, ftw". Its just bullshit, but to be honest, I don't expect anything better from a Linkshell who's representative is one of the biggest fgts of the human race.

it might not be my place to speak here, and i might get flamed for it but if anyone had any commen sense they would agree with me on this,
before the update bg won a claim of fafnir over us (sb) and fi i think it was , the person i think it was boentiful(sp). i live in the uae therefore i would have better latencey by a bit compared to na i still saw it claimed now my first reaction was not "OMG HES BOTTING , FUK BG" i said to my self wow for a change na are claiming , WE are getting somewhere, you see how i referred to the whole na community as we, this because if we can have that then well be able to enjoy this game.today we luckly get a claim by ultrabum who left for holiday just hours after that fafnir. i was happy ill admit i was fuking happy cause we get to kill it , to our misfortune we got darter link and wiped

a fafnir with 4-6 darters would be an impossible act on that setup, being the person that i am i told the ls that no point we wiped, just lets get out of there. we dint want another chance understanding the rules we dont get one cause of wipe.
2# now as decent normal people imo .... we all speak english here cant we work togther , can we actually for once be a civiliased gaming community.. really theres nothing to it all we had to do was.. sb admit they lost chance and thats it . every other ls is at zone of aery ... who gives a fuk if fanir is unclaimed if everyone is at zone, just random and fuking ls with highest random take it. by this stupid drama we ended up fighting among us. FI will still claim it we wont get a chance. am sure neither does my ls ot any other na ls here likes that. if we work together we can pull this off, as decent people we can all come to an agreement.. is it so hard for 5 ls leaders to make a party in jeuno , debate a set of rules that each leader sets them upon his ls.

1- hokuten made enemies with almost all na ls's although i have friends in that ls but now i cant defened them seeing the postion they got into (i still <3 u all )
2- Jp ls's were there now theyll spam voke and we can just smell fafnir from now on
3- all this shit happened when it could have been avoided..
ie- when ou ls wiped we were just trying to get up and leave we ended up having trouble with that cause we coudnt leave aery , cause people kept training spiders , by mistake or not we should try to avoid that , if another ls wiped and i respect thier members and consider them loosing thier xp~
4- if we can get our leaders to set some rules, it will be easy we can do this togther, better of than fighting each other.. cause in a way we only got each other to help out.
5- if some member for some retarded reason thinks he can run a show just ask him to leave .. he wont solo fafnir he cant play as much with no ls so people will listen.

i think i've said about enough, i did not intend to hurt, or offend anyone from my post, th reason i wanna do this in this server because the other day i was watching a fafnir spawn in the server hades (a while ago) and an ls claimed it. a group of sellers tried to mpk that ls , what the other na ls did was help that ls because they dint want sellers to win . as good or bad as that might sound to some i think it was the decent thing to do cause /targetnpc + spam and wait for thier death is just stupid.

Because of SE we already cant claim for shit 1/100 fafnirs( exageration) but when we do lets try and keep it decent and help each other out, lets not ruin a gaming community that was setup for our own good, mistakes happen, we wont get mad @ some1 for causing to die cause of link , shit happens we deal with it but , to my ls and every other ls we must reach some sort of understanding or niether us or u will last very long here.

If a linkshell shows up during the fight, or within 10 minutes before he pops - are they included in the random vs say someone whos been there for 2hours+ ?

The solution isn't that hard - and I apologized already in the very beginning - - but i'll repeat it all and end this thread if people would do me the service of letting it die...

Next time theres a random for something - make sure that every LS who has been there the whole fuckin window is given the chance to random. And instead of throwing around threats of MPKing, try to put yourself in someone elses shoes. I'm not saying what happened today is squeaky clean, but quite frankly - if I was in the position again I don't think i'd be ready to go "ok claim it and fight it even though we didn't get to random after being here since server up".

Yea, it sucks - but the one hour you spent in dragon aery today isn't worth all the time you guys have spent typing on this forum about it.

(edit: moggy/perfect ending: the drops wernt worth the drama, trust me. but killing it on our first try was more important to us then anything it could have dropped.)
