The check is nothing. Takes what, three or four minutes? Point is you didn't lose the files you downloaded.

Still an annoying thing that can get you disconnected.. it's nice I only have 190 or so files to go. I get to download 1 or 2 more files every time I get past the check screen before I get disconnected again!

You don't lose the files, but it does start at 0%. However, if you only had 10 files left to download, 0-100% would only be those files.

My ps2 fking FROZE completely at 50%, and now whenever I get back to the download part, it won't download the file, takes 10 minutes, and times out.

Maybe this download has me a little cranky, but you would think with Square bragging that they have 500,000 or so players that they would think that at least the majority of said 500,000 would try to download the update on the day that it is available. (Especially with the last 2 updates being shittastic like this.)

Perhaps they should break the updates into smaller chunks over the course of the week before the version change. Just a thought to make the server load lighter. >_<
