It seems like an NM in Bibiki bay drops the Reverend Mail.
This Goblin one drops some form of gloves according to the hardcore JP's on Pandemonium.
Hi folks, delurking to verify the drops here; there was some confusion with them, but they seem to be straightened out now.
Shen in Bibiki Bay drops the Reverend Mail. The Goblin Collector drops Barbarian Mitts, an oddly balanced piece of hand gear. Hope that helps!
And for the shameless plug: All of this, and the rest of the NMs as info surfaces, can be found in the July 2005 FFXI Patch Compilation of Info.

oh my... i think im gonna be in withdrawl for the next few weeks...
Am I the only one who thinks that these NM's are way too hard for their drops?
Wow, everyone has been throwing money away on those synths for a pair of shitty gloves. ><; We need someone to take a picture of this thread, and slap a OWNED on it.
I agree.Originally Posted by Russta
Nah, the pumps NM is pretty worthwhile for its difficulty. Kurrea, King Vinegarroon, and that Goblin seem too strong for what they drop though.
i know its not important, but for a whm, and for me especialy, this is very important (to me)
its worth it, at least for me, and for some of our ls whitemages...
kinda hard to tell someone else "thats not worth it" and decide for them...
it does mean, however, i might actualy have to hit lvl 75... rofl
kurrea is powerful? dropped him in 5-10 mins without a full alliance, he seems retarded and keeps going back to drink soup, while u can get someone to stun him and beat the living fk out of him while he won't attack cos he wants soup looooooooooooooooolOriginally Posted by Demetrios
Perhaps just good / bad luck, but I would say the difficulty levels vary on Kurrea. The first one we popped we killed with very few deaths. Very easy. The second one (with same pt setup) we wiped to. Spells were one shotting tanks for 2000-4000 dmg ;/
They are fun fights which make alliances face new challanges.Originally Posted by vudoodoodoo

I don't mind if it didn't drop USELESS SHIT.Originally Posted by Orfeo

it really wouldn't hurt for SE to put in Fun Fights that's worth doing more than once.
Wouldn't it be fun if game had AI that adjusted itself after each fight and recalculated NM's behavior to increase difficulty if similar alliance was used?![]()
Doing Faith would be fun, if you didn't have to spend potentially over an hour getting to it before it disappears.
SE's low confidence in their product forces them to implement pointless time sinks. If they are so worried about losing customers after the "goals" or whatever has been accomplished by a player, they should put more time into developing things that are not only worthwhile doing, but also worthwhile redoing.
Continuous game play is hard to develop, but that doesn't justify needless time wasted (yeah I realize they're interested in monthly fees) doing whatever.
that was the original point, these aren't even time sinks because people won't waste their time doing them more than once or twice since the drops are not worthwhile.Originally Posted by Hirronimus
