The other day Taera was out camping KV and ran a character to check the weather NPC. The NPC said 'sunny' (nothing about dust or sand storms) for the next 3 days, so he got all pissed since the window was open lol. About 3min later, single earth weather popped and so did KV. Weather only lasted for like 5min though and it depopped.

I was about to go to bed too. I started walking to the bathroom to get ready for bed and i heard the sound of earth weather as i was walking out, turned around and saw it staring me in the face followed by a faceplant into hardwood floor cause i slipped on a rug running back to my computer. ;;

We have similar names <3. 54 hours logged camping KV, but was all worth it in the end. We're like 2/3 or 2/4 on Helm. Not too bad.

"Sunny" Doesnt mean a clear day. I dont even think there is a description for a clear day. Just means there is a higher chance of a "Fire storm". As fire storm can spawn in "Dusty conditions". Earth storm can spawn in "Sunny conditions". My LS had KV on lock for about 10 days in a row and he's recentl pulled his vanishing act again. Which really sucks =\

Likewise here. We've gone 3-4/7 on the latest batch of spawns, and he was popping nice and regularly, too. Now? He's completely MIA during dust storms.

I think the last time we fought KV was when my brother finally obtained his Ace's Helm (about 2-3 weeks ago, 1/4 on the helm, first in the LS). Before that, he had been out there most of the time attempting to see some sort of pattern as to how he spawns. There's a lot of information on the mob out there, but it's conflicting at best.

Wish his spawn rate was a bit more consistent, but at least there are no Ebon Panels involved. /drumroll

1st thing i figured out after camping it myself for a week straight and what i noticed from other ppls camping is that you HAVE to kill it to get a time where you can come back 21hrs after

if it was killed,then it WILL repop on the 1st single/double earth weather after 21 hrs of said ToD(i can confirm that it pops on single aswell as double)

however,if you do not manage to kill it and it depops,or if it depops before you can start stalling etc. the system is completly fucked,you cannot take the depop time as the ToD and wait 21hrs,i can confirm that aswell

i didnt figure out when it spawns again after a depop,maybe randomly within the next 21hrs or after 24hrs+

Hmmm we killed it the last 7 days straight now and it hasn't always popped the first earth after 21hrs. Sitting here atm 7hrs into window and its been earth weather around 6-7 times now and still nothing ><

FWIW, this is now the third day in a row it's done this for our LS. The last time, it spawned at 42 hours from ToD ("first window" pop/depop cycle), and i'm starting to suspect it's going to do it again this time. Could very well just be a buggy POS -.-

Thats not exactly true because during the 21-24 he can pop mid earth weather right at window. (30 min like Kings) After 24hrs he pops at the same time as earth weather. 39 hour pop the other day.

My LS killed KV several times and also got damn lucky on the helm drops (10/16 ^^)

My experience is that it pops 80% within the 21-24 hour timer, and like 40% on the first earth weather in window.
We had it popped right after the 21 hour timer started while it was allready Earth weather.
Also the 40+ hour camps sounds familiar......

KV isnt camped @ all on Phoenix, i think like 15 a 20 people have a Ace's helm.
We just put a mule there and when it pops we go there with a hold/kite pt, with a RDM you can kite this thing for ages ^^

Killed him recently. Um, did they update him? As soon as I ran into the three little plants in the NW part of his alcove, he'd draw in, every time. I could only really kite him until daytime, whereas before I could just go clockwise/counterclockwise around those plants and have him endlessly staying opposite me, never actually closing the ground.
