i personally like to load up on as many hitpoints as i can get my hands on. i use such items as gigant mantle and marine M boots, i also use koga hakama for kiting instead of byakko haidate, and can get my hitpoints over 1500. i have managed to eat a couple of stonega IV solo and live through it so i think this helps. im next in line for osode and kabuto and when i get osode im giong to buy a cassie earring as well. using this i'll have nearly 1600 hp and i'll be happy with that D:

when i get my osode i may still use arhats for kiting for the enmity's sake but im not sure. with kirin -dmg% does nothing because how often do you get hit by deadly hold or his tail move?? i never do.

p.s. im working on hitpoint merits at the moment as well, im on the second level.

u will want -phy% against fafnir and wyrms lol they hit you. wing -> double attack theres nothing u can do but eat it and hope yur healed. every good NIN i see uses +1 arhats set, and macros in haste gear for casting on dragons.

HP is nothing when you can't keep hate. If you want hp just eat Pescatora for kiting and you'll be fine. Try out yasha hakama or yasha hakama+1 for kiting, has hp and enmity.

HP is great and all but you still need enmity to go with it. Without the extra enmity you will have a very hard time keeping hate kiting or keeping hate in long fights.

edit: If you can somehow keep hate in all hp gear without all the extra enmity then forget everything i posted :D

Yeah, really. Loading up on Hitpoints is great and all.. but eating stonegaIV is one situation that (for some/most) isn't too constant. I'd say enmity over hitpoints any day, and just learn to avoid getting hit. Fuck getting hit by stonega iv so someone can skillchain, make them learn to hit it while running.

im sorry i think the one thing i forgot to mention is, for kiting mobs i load up on hitpoints. i also have enmity for that as well, things like eris earrings and mermaid's ring. and like i said i put all 3 merits in enmity.

well it was a great weekend for me! friday i got my kirins osode, sunday i got my koga chainmail (4/5 on af2 now, only lacking gloves).

Nin af2 body is ok, but with osode you would never really use af2 body, osode is much better for DD then af2 body, +10 str helps so much, as long as you use sushi that is.
