Dagger or Ridill offhand, TP gain amounts to about the same if you're using Triple Attack merits and Assassin's Poulaines. Personally I prefer dagger because I see better results when I have the flexibility of using 2 daggers instead of Ridill. Sooner or later, Ridill THFs are going to have to face the reality that there's just a limit to how much you can get out of Ridill on LV75 things.

Whoever said THF/WAR or THF/SAM is more viable than THF/NIN needs his head examined. THF/WAR has a respectable damage increase but you take a huge hit in flexibility and TP building. THF/SAM is fine when you're just sitting on your ass with nothing to do during a fight, but you're gonna take a sizable damage and TP hit for it.

I use 2 sets of gear and that's all I really need to perform just fine when it comes to xp PTs. Dagger+12, Crit Hit+3%, DEX+2 in meripo.

    Weapons (main, sub, ranged)
-Martial Knife / Blau Dolch (jury is still out on Blau vs Martial)
-Thief's Knife / Daylight Dagger / Heart Snatcher (varies)
-Lightning Bow +1 / Ungur Boomerang

    TP Gear:
    -Optical Hat
    -Specs
    -Suppanomimi
    -Merman's Earring
    -Scorpion Harness
    -War Gloves +1
    -Sniper's Ring
    -Rajas Ring
    -Forager's Mantle
    -Life Belt
-Hecatomb Subligar (there's no real substitute for it that comes close)
    -Assassin's Poulaines

    WS Gear:
-Hecatomb Cap (no real substitutes available)
    -Spike Necklace
-Pixie Earring (Merman's Earring would be ok substitute)
    -Merman's Earring
-Dragon Harness +1 (Hecatomb Harness is decent substitute)
    -Hecatomb Mittens +1
    -Spinel Ring
    -Rajas Ring
    -Forager's Mantle
    -Warwolf Belt
    -Hecatomb Subligar
    -Hecatomb Leggings

    That's a joke post, right ??

    those mobs are like lv60...
Actually, 80-90 with defender is fairly decent.

Oh please, excuse me for not being perfect. Now allow me to browse through pages of forums to find a flaw and imperfection in you.

Come on dick, don't tell me you've done everything in this game perfectly without death. And just so you know I wasn't using a guide then because I prefer learning on my own and not being repetative by using walkthrus and guides.

Choke on a cock and die you stupid prick. I hope I see you in hell.

Ninja is definitely the right sub for VT chain parties, but before lvl73 THF/WAR is a much better combination. Berserk + sushi is liken to having a Bard as THF/NIN. I know you're talking about merit parties, but I never like seeing THF/WAR get bashed .

Depends on what weaponskill you're using. I find shark bite to be a waste at d.weapon camp. Sa+dancing edge with att food and att build can put up some nice numbers even without a blau, with one I'm sure it's amazing.

Slow +12% ; ; If you want the extra attack I'd go for dusk trousers.

You're right about THF/WAR being good at lower levels and going up to a fairly high level; I actually subbed WAR for most of my leveling. I'd say around LV70 though, once you start getting more daggers with good stats, the ability to have a 2nd dagger along with the slightly faster TP gain from Dual Wield is well worth switching over.

Shark does 1.2-1.3k consistently for me on deco weapons. I've never seen Dancing Edge come close to that on a consistent basis.

DE and Shark does the same damage for me on deco weapons. I prefer to use DE because I get a little more TP return.

Question to you other thf out there.

Obviously, more AGI will increase your tick attack damage. But, for instance, when quiklet listed his gear, all atk/dex gear. Do you thf worry much about boosting your TA damage, or is it better to focus most of your gear on improving SA annd normal hit damage. We'd all love to be able to carry the gear to improve all our thf skills, but SE limits us with 60 so I'm kinding debating what I should focus on.

Thanks in advance fellow thieves or anyone else who cares to make a helpful comment. ^^

I was there!! <3 Ulmeggy. EXP PT was good I thought... until like you said, the fags showed up and killed everything. Lujan was a real ass kicker.

That NM is so easy, it's on San d'Oria 7-1. If you're feeling evil, zone the mofo to San d'Oria, then come back out to see hell break loose LOL. Speaking of which that NM is level67ish. Regardless it MAY be a 60 mob, it's still an NM which puts it on a different tier than normal lv60ish Orcs.

Please, master, show me where the fuck I threatened to quit the game?

Let me spare you the time of finding out yourself.

    I never did.

And I didnt flip out like a psychopath either, I just got pissed about all the shit that had just happened. After like a 16 hour maintenence, that I had to wait 2 days just to download and sign on, I log on and die. That was the last straw. So I want you to tell me oh perfect one, have you ever gotten angry or frustrated? And when someone types in all caps does that make them psycho. Think about what you just said and how stupid it was.

Obviously, more AGI will increase your tick attack damage. But, for instance, when quiklet listed his gear, all atk/dex gear. DEX is going to improve your performance as a Thief more than AGI will unless you're just not using Sneak Attack for some reason. Higher crit rate, higher WS damage, and higher Sneak Attack damage as opposed to just higher Trick Attack damage.

A good thief would be using macro swaps though. DEX is moot when using TA alone (not stacked with WS).
