I swear, this forum makes AK look like it's full of intelligent people and great posts. Some people really need to get a life and find something actually worth complaining about.

We didn't ask for the raises, we had the mob under control and that's it.

Just because two HNM linkshells actually can get along without the countless drama that comes from most every other linkshell on Bahamut people see the need to whine and whine to no end.

We were there, we followed procedure and killed it fair and square. We probably would have killed it a month ago that time we lost it on a whiny technicality when Hokuten pretty much "stole" it. Instead of making a fuss we shrugged it off and finally got our chance.

You think we would have died without a couple free raises? We don't give a shit, get used to seeing UDF at Fafnir and get used to sitting in the background and watching while we bring it down.

Cry all you want, Fafnir is dead and he'll pop again tomorrow... and the day after that. We don't need to justify anything, we really could care less whether you think we could beat him or not.

we dont care if you dont care that we care to see that u guys take down fafnir as a ls alone, but if you cant kill him alone then that implies that you cant get much done without SBs help. Vice versa for SB. I look forward to seeing todays Fafnir/Nidhogg. this should prove interesting if an NA LS claims.

I don't recall anybody in UDF saying "We're teaming up with SB to kill Fafnir, they're going to help raise us" at any point before or during the fight. Some of us died, so SB threw out a few raises as a courtesy because our LSs are on friendly terms and we get along. Hell, I didn't even notice what they were doing until the fight ended.

If I showed up in the Aery while $YOUR_LINKSHELL_HERE was fighting Fafnir and cast a Raise on one of your dead members, would you tell that person to decline the raise so you they could take one from one of your own members instead? There was no pact or agreement that one LS would be helping the other, it was simply a gesture of courtesy made from one LS to another.

I don't think that whatever outside help UDF recieved was the deciding factor that allowed us to win. All I know is that I had a lot of fun killing Fafnir for what was my first time, and that's all I care about. To the vocal few who believe whatever happened in the Aery that night was invalidated because of the specific actions of a few people: /shrug, sorry you feel that way. If this truly affected you on a level such that you cannot enjoy playing FFXI, I suggest trying another game -- Life is too short to keep playing a game you dislike just because you feel obligated to do so.

I think the point people are trying to make is that LS should take pride in doing things for themselves, I understand the situation but it probably wasn't needed till after the fight.

Honestly, I dunno why i'm saying this, cause it's been beaten to death already, leave the horse and let's move onto the next big drama.

i pretty much agree. and if your members are offended enough by a widely held opinion that LSes should be independent in HNM fights to start rattling the saber and saying retarded stuff like "i dont give a shit we're gonna fucking own you from now on," or sending me multiple tells in game telling me to fuck off, they should equally quit.

I've been staying out of this thread mostly because I'm trying to turn a new leaf and get along with everyone, so lemmie try to to explain where I think people are coming from.

To UDF: They are simply saying that you did indeed recieve outside help, regardless of how it affected the fight, people can argue it was technically, and this is a really weak arguement, that it was UDF + outside LS healers who killed Fafnir. W/e, its splitting hairs.

To the naysayers: They killed Fafnir in 40 minutes w/ only like 5 deaths, did not aggro darters, took raise 1 from outside healers, which I'm sure their own mages could've done anyway, and, I think this is most important, followed the rules set by the JP on the server to a clean, what should have been, drama free kill.

To senseless flamers who barely speak english: Stop posting hate messages for no reason other than to increase your post count. Its pointless, nobody cares, and worst of all, baby Jesus cries every time you post.

To qualify as a flame, you have to needlessly attack a particular party for no good reason. I examined the arguement from all sides and tried to provide a reason for each side. Sorry if you felt you belonged in the flamers who don't speak english part, but I hope you enjoy being banned as we're cracking down on people who flame unprovoked.
