I just don't really feel like doing the quest for some reason even though it'd do me good, for some reason I think it's more productive to sit in jeuno or just seek for merits rather than read up on it.

Way to quote me out of context Orfeo. Read the first part of my post, than read last. I'm reading everyone's reply. The topic doesn't explicitly concerns only Russta even tho it's addressed to him, you know why? Because:

Errr, hirro i wasn't calling you a dick ;o I was pointing out that your response to the whole "it's not russa's response" was in no way dickish.
I'm not exactly sure of what mog house features I can't use while I'm doing this thing though, or how long it takes, and again I'm too lazy to even look.![]()
Let's break it down like this.
Standard, you've got 140 item space. Max equipment you're going to carry around for a job is 50. Out of that 50, I'll go with 20 items of it being R/EX. And that's a lot, and probably an overestimate.
140/20 = 7. 7 jobs of R/EX shit will completely fill up your space... but, some of these R/EX pieces are used for multiple jobs.
Let's say if you include the multiple jobs per item, I'd give each job an average of 12 pieces, which screws you over on your 12th job to 75.
In summary, if you use a second account with multiple characters and 2box/2window it up, you shouldn't have much problems dealing with your inventory space until you have 10 75jobs.
That's the thing, I have multiple items that are Rare/Ex which are beneficial to multiple jobs hence I can't keep them in Storage due to constant use and of course Storage itself being filled up with /other/ Rare/Ex items that I require from time to time.
Tradeable items aren't really an issue for me and I'm willing to put up with time consumed moving them from char to char, but looking at the items I /want/ to obtain for my current /and/ upcoming jobs raises concern for me as to how I will deal with abundance of Rare/Ex items.
What's the point of having items for storage space? I have like 5 and wonder to myself "why should I have these items? They just take up items in my moghouse...I could just get rid of those spaces and put my items in there...and I wouldn't be losing any space?"
Just trying to understand, there must be something I'm failing to think about.
I'll post a screenshot of my Mog House/Storage items once I get home. You'll know why you need Storage space from Furnishings when you see it. Not only that I like my Mog House to be well furnished instead of having 20 rusty buckets standing ont he floor.
I want to finish my Painting collection also.![]()
now you know why Mumu is gimp.
at a certain point you just have to say "to hell with pimping out this job, i ain't got no space for it"
that's when you use full Errant for all your mage jobs and nothing but All Job MP accessories.
because something like a mannequin gives you 8 Storage slots for taking up 1 Mog Safe slot.Originally Posted by Zetah
The idea is to have one item in your safe that equals 4,5 or 7 spaces in your storage. Having 1 mannequin in your safe gets you 7 spaces in storage. So 7 mannequins gets you 49 storage costing you 7 safe for a total of 42 more spaces to put stuff.Originally Posted by Zetah
I have 2 75 jobs, 1 73. While I don't have a whole lot of R/EX stuff like some, I do have my fair share of ex junk that I use. I have 59 storage atm, which is packed, I am almost always 78/80 and 55+/60 as well. My trick is that I have 3 70+ jobs that can easily use each other's equipment and be extremely productive. That doesn't work for a lot of people with jobs so diverse, but it helps alot. I may be a tad "lazy" with some of my equipment choices, but thats me. Muling and use of the AF Check NPC's are essential at this point however. Having RSE, Bard, and several sets of full level cap armor on the NPC helps tremendously. In short, if you only keep the ex stuff that you will use and don't become overly stubborn for the stuff that you can easily replace if you need to, then its easy. As for some people keeping all the keys they ever get, well quite frankly I dont ever do this. Unless the key is of AF or Map use and I don't use them quickly upon possesion, I drop them.
lol...
Well first of all I have 61 storage spaces, 60 inventory spaces and 80 mog house spaces. I have two mules, one for all my Mage equipment/ miscellaneous medicines (Russtasho) and one for all my melee equipment (Lopretni, naked 6b ftw). Neither of them have any MH expansion quests of Gobbie Bag quests done so they run on the raw minimum. Though they carry a little of my main eq, the main purpose of them is to store my level cap stuff of which my Ninja has loads. When my Ninja is required for some random BC or CoP area it's at a point where there's not a single piece of eq, be it buyable or rare/ex, that I could get for it to be better. That's not really a case of me being egotistical but I do a lot of things with minimalist set ups and not being the absolute best I can be is only hurting one person - me.
On Russta I have a very efficient process to maximize space without really limiting me anywhere. I keep only four essential instruments (Nursemaid's Harp, Ebony Harp+1, Cornette+1 and Horn +1) on me. They're all stored in my inbox when I'm not on Bard allowing me to take them out quickly but still leave me 4 free slots for gil to get through. It frees up four slots on my inventory/MH and frees up all eight of my outbox slots which are taken by Ninja tools. I've streamlined myself so well now that I know where everything I own is at any given time.
I also have some "rules" i restrict myself too. I don't use Warp Cudgels because I sometimes need to dezone more than once in 24 hours and I can't afford to give more than one slot to a dezone item so I burn CP on them (I have 400k cp >.>). Food can be really annoying sometimes because I must carry Dorado Sushi and Tavnazian Tacos at all times (for NIN) but I also like to carry Coeurl Subs and Sole Sushi. Three hour food for me is a big no-no unless I know something is coming up I won't die at (I will use a Yellow Curry if hunting Novv for instance). Cannot allow more than one slot for Silent Oils/Prism Powders/Echo Drops which means if I had one on me I would toss it and buy an entire new stack.
Finally, I have to be realistic about my jobs equipment and base it on a hierarchy. I recently sold my White Mages Empowering Mantle and will now use my Ninja's Gigant Mantle for it. Ideally I didn't want to do that but for how much I use White Mage in a HNM/Party situation I couldn't justify granting it a slot when I had an arguably better/slightly worse cape I could use for it instead.
Not sure what else to cover... I think only posting screenshots of my entire storage and mog house would make it clearer.
I pretty much just sell any old equipment I don't/haven't used in atleast month. Like I haven't used any thief af in over 4 months, so /toss. Why bother with it since it all sucks and no one's ever gonna ask me to do bc as thf. For NIN, RNG, BLM, I only did the AF's that I would actually use. Like, I have the boots and pants, pants on my manaquin, I keep for BC's and pretty much any area capped area/event, but the boots are on me 24/7. RNG, I basically drop any stack of ammo that is under 50 and just recycle ammo/ninja tools through my inbox. BLM I'm currently leveling, so most of my equip is on me, then gets shuffled into my mogsafe if I switch to another job.
Didn't bother getting AF body? That thing is really cool with haste gear, AABC earring, possibly AF2 legs for yet another dual wield enchance leg piece but not sure if it's stronger than +5% haste.
nah lol, arhats+1, osode, and scorp harness all i needAllthough af2 pants are all i have atm, no haidate yet D;
I'm resorted to keeping the equipment for my current job (the one I'm leveling atm) in Delivery system. I know this is a risky, but it saves what little time I have.
Russ, I want to see what Furnishings you use for Storage increase.
I just have arhat's +1, but it's insane how fast you can attack (for fun) with that body on and a couple marches + haste and other stuff, even though I rarely do it. So cool.
