Drk/war do ALOT less dmg then a DD nin/war or a good war/nin. Drk/nin is really only a good option if you have ridill and use axe main hand to spam rampage.Originally Posted by Sekkite

I gotta call BS on that. A ninja with good DD equip hasn;t really come close to out damaging me in xp parties(at least the ones I've partied with).Originally Posted by Mav
A nin with good DD equip will put more then 50% more dmg then a drk/war will.Originally Posted by Sekkite
Here you go. This is a parcer from a ls xp pt right before the rng nurf. Trephine is a galka rng useing ebow. Twolves is a elvaan ninja useing DD gear. Mistatim is a drk/war with 4/5 adaman. Amara is a pld.
[removed broken link]
that drk's melee acc is the same as the pld.
I did a PT as DRK/NIN with Ridill, Tabarzin and full Adaman. We had DRK/NIN, WAR/NIN, NIN/WAR and DRK/SAM. My overall melee damage was better than the WAR/NIN and a little less than the NIN/WAR but the WAR/NIN's Rampage owned mine unless I used Souleater so it put his total damage above mine after the whole party. Over all the NIN destroyed everyone in the party. I think I may do better next time when my axe is capped because it was 25 levels undercap in that pt. <_<
Yes i know that but you ever see a drk stalking up on mnd? I hardly ever use Crossreaper, Guillotine ftw!Originally Posted by Elcura
Ohh and fyi Spinning slash has better Modifiers than Ground Strike at 300%^^
What food was he using? Did he have any merit points? Did he have decent WS gear? What weapon was he using? What weapon skill was he using?Originally Posted by Mav
Same questions for the ninja side too(Disregarding the weapon question. With a critical hit rate like that the weapon choice is pretty obvious).
The 50% mods on str and int on Ground Strike let it have higher possible damage at 300% then spinning slash. On the high end I've gotten exactly 1.5K damage at 300TP on spinning slash with WS gear and absorbs. With Ground Strike and the same WS gear and same absorbs(int and str), I've gotten over 1.8K damage.Originally Posted by Onizuka
Knowing Tim he was either useing yellow curry or sole sushi. Looking at his acc most likely curry. If you think Full hectacomb and alky braclets are decent WS gear then yea. Tim has 3 merits in str 6 in Sycthe 3 in crit hit, and maxed souleater recast I believe. He was useing death sycthe+1. His weapon skill would be gullotine.Originally Posted by Sekkite
Twolves(was prolly me on his name in that pt) uses Fudo main hand, BCNM 6% crit hit katana in off hand, Panther Mask/emphairpin for ws's, Bomb core, Spike Neckless, Mineut earring, Suppanomimi, Haubergeon+1, dusk gloves/Bandomuha kote durring day/ koga tekko at night, flame rings x2, Forgers mantle, Wearwolf belt, Byakko pants, Fuma sun-ate. Uses sole sushi has 1 merit in str, 6 in katana, 3 in crit hit rate, 3 in enmity, 7 in hp, 3 in ninjitsu, 5 in subtle blow, 3 in evasion. and was useing Blade: Jin.
As far as damage gear goes tim has much better gear for his job. Twolves still needs speedbelt, kirins osode, shura head, panther mask+1 and HQ heroric boots before he can cap out xp pt dmg.
....80% accuracy then with full merits with an A+ weapon? What were you fighting?
Just a suggestion, don't eat me. You should try swapping tabarzin for a maneater. Both cost about the same (well I think maneater may be about 300k more now) however maneater is much, MUCH better. The latent is active below 100%TP and on weapon skills. Although that seems like it's the same as tabarzin, it comes with a +18ATTK +5ACC latent also. Very nice weapon if you don't want to fork out the cash for a juggernaut/woodvilles.Originally Posted by Amarok
Mav, why do you have a Taru leech in your PT or was Jom on BRD?
Jom was the whm, her dmg shown was from dia II ^^.Originally Posted by Hirronimus

Actually STR intersects on more planes of modification than int does, so STR > INT for WSOriginally Posted by Onizuka
the drk af2 hands would be nice for a drk magic set/macro though.
Of course someone was gonna say that. INT is still a modifier nonetheless, and there is a point where you can have enough strength versus the mob's vitality where it will just have severe diminishing returns. I view it as a 30% modifier is still sizable nonetheless, and with having +40 strength, I can afford a bit of +int.Originally Posted by Raivyn

Wrong. STR is counted as a 100% modifier for every WS, and a 30% modifier extra for Spinning Slash, kthx.
