I've only met one person in the game who was so obviously a gil buyer. Guy's name is Perfect. At around level 45ish samurai, he had a peacock charm(this is about a year ago), ochiudo's kote, dual snipers, and a bunch of other stuff. When I asked how he got the gil, he said farming crawlers. At the time I thought he was just trying to hide a good way of making money(since I was unaware of gil buyers being so rampant at the time), so I asked him if he had another job at level 75 and he said no. I asked him if he was given the gil by a high level friend or if he got a drop off a NM. He said no to all of it and kept with is farming crawlers story.
I believe at the time he'd of had to farm about 1200 or so stacks of silk to pay for his equipment.

LMAO every fucking sam i pted with at 59-61 had haubergeon+1, snippers, fuma's, O-kote, emp pin, and ate sole sushi+1...im not fucking kidding either...Why spend over 80k on a crappy pt(+1 sole is BS!) and when asked they said they farm stuff you can kill at lvl 36 >.> i never suspected anybody of buying gil, i just didn't know how people got so much of it from the same crappy mobs i farmed...

Ohh and i know like 25% of the people on that list, they got some good stuff, thing is in FFXI your not allowed to have nice items without people knowing exactly how you make your personal gil for your personal use! It's a law!

Judah was banned from because his posts werent very nice. But since he started the shitlist of people who do buy gil, ill finish it for him :D Thier is always someone defending people who RMT, like Gregorio/Dahann and when you do ask the people where they got thier shit from. Its total BS, "I farmed my ass off, i did Boyanda Moss quest for 1 month straight" or BS like that. Everyone i named does RMT, hate to break it to you but getting a craft to 100 doesnt give you infinite gil unless its gold. Wonder how people like Vampiresoul and RMTony got thier craft to 100 in such a short time. GOGO DRG everyone knows how they can farm godly amounts of gil. What proof is thier that they RMT, want a fucking receipt from IGE? no other way possible. Its ok Shyla can joke around about it, but i think her whole LS already exposed her, and BG doesnt care cant pass up someone with 3 jobs no life huh? BRING BACK JUDAH

Actually.. I noticed a lot of DRG and MNK have high(er) level crafting because they're seeking for PTs much longer. This also allowed them a longer amount of time to farm goobuues and such. Just because someone has something nice doesn't make it RMT. They just learned the ropes faster and played their cards right.
