Whether or not you guys consider account buying RMT is a rather moot point. The fact is the rest of us (non bg members) DO consider it RMT, and always will. You can change your rules all around, but in the end, its still RMT'ing

They didn't go to playerauctions and pick out random people. It was all members in BG who we all leveled with, got money with, and got equips with. Regular RMT is RMT because your using your RL money to get things you can't ever get normally (what enitsu said). This is different because this isn't a random person but someone from the LS that decided to quit.

I don't get what your getting at here. Are you saying that if someone argues a point of view that is wrong they should still be taken credibly? Berticus pretty much cleared up the entire issue back on page 2 but here we are at page 10 or 11 with nothing but a headache and shit flinging going around. well, there isn't much more to argue if your way of doing things are opposite of what people do in a civilized law-enforced society. From what I can see you guys have 2 paths ahead of you. You either take the money and dump your integrity or you give back the money to its owner and keep your integrity. Don't try to justify something when it's clearly unlawful.

I'll just say one more thing about invading people's accts. Say I give the keys to my car to one of my friends. Although my friend has access to the vehicle, as long as I don't give him the permission to drive it, the second he drives that car away I can sue him for theft, trespassing, etc. I could've fucked his wife, rode his mom, kicked his dog, molested his kids, but he's still a thief for driving away what wasn't his.

Did that same friend rebuild the engine, put in new seats, add a new body kit, buy your mom a diamond ring, your dog a new house, was the father of those kids and bought you lunch? Cause then this analogy would equal whats going on here.

I don't know which country you live in. Where I am from, even if the friend gives me 10 million dollars, he still loses in court if he takes my property without my approval.

Which brings us back to before. None of this legal shit holds water - because this is a game. So why bother trying to prove a legal point. This is more or less coming from a moral perspective, because the only thing that makes people gives things back is feeling VERY VERY BAD in game.
Morally, if that friend put in as much or MORE money as you, in said item, he deserves it just as much as you do. Or else why would you let him do it - aside from being a thieving whore sucking up all the good will.

Because you guys keep trying to justify it as somehow this is the correct way to do things. All I am saying is that it's unlawful. Nobody is going to get sue or punished I'm sure everyone is aware of that. And I've known Owned for a while, although not a very close friend of his it is kind of sad to see him get fucked over and get villanized for taking advantage of a linkshell. Wow I went and had to lay down cause I'm not feeling good tonight and this thread exploded.

DV, please understand that part of the reason I did NOT want to buy a fully loaded account was because of RMT rumors and shit. I also can't afford to spend money on items in a video game when I can barely afford to pay my gas to get to school.

Also the difference between the RMT they are talking about and what happened hear is definitely different. It's one thing to buy your gil from IGE compliments of the gil sellers in Kuftal. It's another to pay a little money to a friend in the same LS to take over their account. In no way at all would passing an already active account to a friend who knows how to play the game (not a level 1 noob who buys a 75 character) to someone else in the same LS or a friend. It didn't ruin the economy at all in game which is the RMT BG is against. The type where you have money out the ass and buy shit at ridiculous prices putting money that doesn't belong into the economy.

Maybe next time you should think about things before you just blurt them out and point fingers.

I'll flat up admit I didn't read this thread, however, I will not flame anything/anyone, just gotta say this.

Fact: Every LS, regardless what it is, Social, HNM, Sky, CoP, etc., always has some sort of inter-LS drama. This is inevitable; using it to try and "show the dark side" of said LS to the public is just silly. No LS is perfect, unfortunately. That is all.
