A little RNG advice please...

well, useually rng gets the othinus bow at lvl 67... so i'd get the Gold bolt, however, the moon bow is sopposed to own so that would be great to have at lvl 62 (60????). Nither is requirded, but both are nice to have.
btw, barrage overrides unlimited shot, so you'll loose the bolt, happened to a dumbass friend of mine lol

Yea selene's bow definitely rocks (especially for a free bow that's relatively easy to acquire)... it's the only bow I've seen that hit 600+ sidewinders on kirin post-patch (not all of em, usually 400ish I'd say, which is still nice compared to other bows/xbows/guns)

2 rng had selene's, others were hellfire+1, cc bow, and e-bow I think; maybe moon was optimal for it, but selene's bow was outperforming the rest.


and yes, the bow is level 60.

since patch i thought gun was the way to go =/ lol god was i off on that one. have seen rng do 1500 - 2k consistently on IT rams in Misareaux (or was it lufaise@@?) this was using hellfire +1. whatever, against kirin a lot of the rng in my ls use gun i think some even tried culverin, but i could be wrong on that one, cause im usually running in circles trying to aovid getting my ass slaughtered by the oaf, not paying attn to rng gear.

Those rams are in lufaise, any idea if that rng was /war or not? That'd be pretty crazy damage for a mob that doesn't berserk without war sub otherwise.


As far as kirin goes, shooting 20k/stack ammo at him for 30dmg a pop is depressing

I think bow is better for kited mobs, gun might be better for stationary (not sure really, we don't get as many rangers at events as we used to ), though neither will really match pre-patch numbers unless you sub war.

nah the rng was /nin, he's a great player, have leveled with his nin many times. But it was weird, cause he did hit a lot of slugshots for some major dmg, but he did miss a some as well, and thats pretty much shooting from the same distance, using same weapon, etc (a lot more than prepatch)
