What gear does your rng use... cause I play RNG on Taru ENM runs and I use hawkers, scorp rings, af body and heavy xbow for acc. Its more than enough.

We don't have a RNG.. the whole point of my rant is that, coupled with the Taru ENM not being designed well enough like Russta first thought that any balanced combo of three jobs could win within 15min. The only dedicated people I can find are a WAR, BLM, WHM and we've been unable to win without getting a random 4th melee to help squeeze in killing the mithra pathetically before time runs out. And I'm worried by doing so.. we're killing our chance to get any earring.
I've done this enm plenty (elvaan) at least 15 times and I was 1 for mage version earring and 1 for melee version earring out of those runs. Me (rdm) and a NIN duo this easily(roughly 9 min fight). Here's a little information on how we do it(not sure if this will apply for taru though).
I can't remember which one auto attacks after galka dies but i think this is the order. (hume and mithra might need to switch)
Kill order: Galka->Hume->Taru->Mithra
rdm stars off with elemental seal thunder 2, run back a little, chainspell fire 2 until the galka dies. Rdm sits back and lets nin melee the hume while rdm nukes also. Taru comes in and rdm sits back and nin solos it. Mithra comes out nin solos mainly by using ranged attack(80% of the damage comes from this as mithra is weak to ranged attacks) and meleeing, rdm throws some nukes here and there.
As for being taru, the order will be switched as to taru wouldn't be in there and an elvaan would in it's place (and i don't know anything about the elvaan mob). But if your having trouble as it seems, go with RDM, NIN, RNG set up. Another helpful hint is the nin should probably use weapons that have additional effects such as the ones that do wind damage when a pump is worn (don't know name) and the nin has max throwing skill.
Hope this info helps you.

Between my jobs and Chid's jobs, i'm sure we can work something out... (Aside from a tank job, Bohoho's NIN is 59, maybe 60 by now...)

Sounds awesome, Tsunade, help me find more Tarus!!.. we could easily get 2 runs going at once per trip, maybe a 3rd. All being in the same zone, we could work out something on earrings with triple the chances.
sounds like fun...
Never done this before...
By the sound of things here, could a rng/sam kill the mithra very quickly with:
Get TP outside ENM.
Upon entering, sidewinder, shadowbind, gravity (from a rdm)
barrage, meditate, run back a little, sidewdinder and kill her?
Rdm takes out the mob weak to magic with chainspell, or simply nuke sleep, bind, gravity, nuke nuke nuke...
And just have all three guys take their time killing the final mob with like 14 minutes to spare?
I heard we fight one of each race though? what are the other two weak to? just normal physical damage? What if we used a weapon the mob is NOT weak to... would we just be doing 0 damage?
Ranger can switch to an axe... should have rampage by lvl 60 right? hehe
And just get a random DD third job, tank preferably.
Can't get tp outside of the ENM because of level cap, and you don't choose the order in which to fight them, as the next one comes to fight when your current automaton is at about 20% hp (though there is a certain order they follow depending on which race you pull first). Rng/sam or sam/rng would destroy the mithra pretty fast, though you'd probably need gravity and bind because he'd have perma hate until it's dead.
Also there's 4 you fight; one for each race that you're not (i.e. taru fight is mithra/elvaan/hume/galka)
Well, after several runs I can say, my team of Nin, Mnk, and Rdm is a great set up for this (Tarus btw). As I had said on an earlier post the Galka is the only one that Mnk sucks at, so I always boost on him and Chi for 400-600 dmg to it to help kill (Rdm and Nin kill it fast anyways).
When the fight starts, nin debuffs the hume, I just attack with Focus on (Rdm hastes me and the nin) to make each hit count, using attack food, it goes down faster than a sack of potatoes before I can even use any WS. For the Elvaan the nin and I just sc on it and just pure DoT on it and it goes down smoothly. When the Mithra comes out to play, I will use berserk and sometimes hundred fists to make my dmg nearly "normal", when I pull hate our nin takes the time to throw gil at it for more dmg as she goes down, then I start to boost for the Galka. The Galka goes down fast from Ninjitsu spam and Rdm nukes then I try to finish him off with Chi Blast.
Though our three tarus have different job options, we have found the easiest is to just use Nin, Mnk, and Rdm as it allows us to hit each weakness (well, nin throws when she can get in proper range) while not sacrificing our efficiency to kill the rest (using Rng is inneficient since update as you will miss too much when they move on top of you, so not worth the hastle for just one of the mobs). Its a fun ENM, just wish the droprates were better, one of these days we will get one of the earrings...I hope
I've been doing this with reliable wins with a SMN/WHM WAR/NIN MNK/WAR setup.
WAR/NIN and MNK/WAR save tp through the hume and elvaan, then do howling fist > rampage skillchain on the mithra, use i.wings and skillchain again on the mithra and then a few more hits and the mithra is dead.
Funny that we brute force our way through the mithra using skillchains even though it's intended that we use ranged attack.
Then war/nin vokes the galka as it comes (we fight at the entrance) and smn astral flows the galka (does about 50% dmg) and mnk/war chi-blasts (though doesn't have to), and then war/nin kites the galka down the hall away from the smn with mnk/war following. And halfway down the hall, mnk/war vokes it and brings it back to smn for the 2nd bloodpact.
Works well for us, except we're 0/6 on any drop at all. Haven't even gotten a lugworm. I even called a GM and they said the BC was working fine. Kind of disheartenning considering I've spent over a month on this stupid thing.
They might not be weak to melee, skillchain, or ranged attack... but EVERYTHING's weak to Astral Flow haha.
My group has been going for over two months (rl and ls gets in way sometimes to do every week) but still, our best drop was a lugworm one night...
Beat this a few times (no drops) with this setup: Thf/nin, Rdm/whm (myself), Blm/whm
Our time is between 11-13min, so it's could be cutting it close if you mess up at all. I've thought about trying to get a ranged weapon up on rdm to do it, but chances are I would miss like crazy anyways on rdm. Mithra is most probably only weak to ranged weapons. No sure about polearms, but dagger from thief does extremely low damage. So I ruled out it being weak to piercing.
Our strats is essentially, Thf trick attack on my Rdm, then sneak attack and we both tank all of them. In between Thf evasion/shadows and Rdm Stoneskin/Phalanx we take almost no damage (plus they are super easy to debuff). I used hasted hornetneedle + en-spell which actually did very nice damage drawing hate at times. Blm actually does very decent damage to *all* of them, where the only problem is hate. Blm starts of with DOT debuffs etc then finish off with heavy nuke at end.
For Mithra, Thf spammed bolts while I backed off because my dagger really was doing no damage. Mostly tried to rest for mp and help setup trick attacks. Either case, Mithra isn't too strong herself and it just takes time. After that, Galka is easy as both Rdm and Blm nuked it easily down without much thought.
I probably could've went Rdm/blm and Aspir a bit. Originally went /whm in case a quick Curaga was needed to wake people. I can't remember why I go rdm/whm, besides we've won with it and no reason to change it.

Words cannot express how happy and relieved I feel after waiting so long for it. Aside from a few AF2 pieces my Monk is now 100% complete and after we get one more Waetoto we never have to touch this fucking ENM ever again.
im 2/8 on the drops. nin, rng, blm is the best set up. can win in about 7-9min
Wow...guess I was really lucky on this. I had a fixed team of NIN SMN BLM, we went a total of 11 times, and each of us had both earrings by the end. The 9th time dropped both earrings at the same time @@
