Yesh faranim, i did that xD but I hadn't had time to revisit forum to say I had got the answer, I did something slightly different tho. I'll post code later, i'm in physics lab, sooooo boring.

i do find it odd that your being taught C, most CS departments have adopted C++ as a base language if they are using C at all anymore. in my department it was C++ you had 2 semesters of that, then they taught COBOL still (local business begs them to keep teaching it), but other languages like VB (actually they teach VB.Net now), assembly, and even logic languages like Prolog for AI class. down in the middle of nowhere, or edinboro, they used C++ as the language used for Data structures and alogirthms, OOP, Operating Systems among others.

i guess what colleges do is different based on what they feel will make a well rounded CS degree, my school had a bit to much historical backing i guess with teaching COBOL and assembly as required language classes, as it's my understanding many colleges don't use them as part of the main body of course work and leave for elective.

but this is all comming from a guy that was a CS major at an art school (art and education mainly) so please take with a grain of salt lol.

lol i tend to think of anything relating to CS as having a lame morbid humor... or maybe that's just because i graduated in May and still have no prospects of actual work related to computers at all....
