In case you forgot, RMT means Real Money Trade, there's a difference between buying gil for an item and paying an LS for the drop. (Whatever your opinion of either of those actions maybe, there is a difference)

So I guess if by earn you mean that he wasn't in an LS that didn't kill fafnir and let him lot on the drop, you're right. Oh well, you do what you have to. I don't know what's the big deal with Realm getting a Hrotti. He bought it from FI just like how Valiant bought a Wyrm Beard from BG. Are you calling valiant a RMT? Why are you supporting people that RMT then?

Not everyone can camp Fafnir 3 hours a day for the next month and surround themselves with people that are welling to do that. When an alternative like paying 3 mil for an item that requires that much effort to get presents itself, I don't think anyone would turn that down if they have the money and aren't camping or planning to camp Fafnir in the future.

I agree with this point... Hell I tried to trade a cashmere cloth that I desynthed from a subligar for a Wyrmal:Hd but the JP's told me (HomePoint)(Leave). Oh well :/ I never got flamed for trying and imo I really shouldn't, hell it's just one less crimson mask that my LS has to get. I figure if I use my own assets to go out and get one then they should be happy (plus the other RDM's know it's one less person to lot against.)

just because there's a thread on a message board and people respond to it doesn't make it a big deal.

the difference is, you can use a Wyrm Beard for a quest that ultimately results in a Black Belt that makes MNK a beast in Merit Point parties, which undoubtedly anyone with a BB will do and do fairly often.

a Hrotti is used to fight Wyrms, which not everyone will do, and outside of fighting wyrms it's trash.

people are questioning his intelligence in purchasing garbage.
