As for the why run when you can walk comment on Jorg. I can tell you I would probably kill Jorg first too, I don't care if it was harder we would get it and when we did we would know Nidhogg was a peice of cake. Jorg might be a harder fight but it's by far an easier claim and that's what's important. you could spend a week getting up at obscene hours camping fafnir 3 hours a day hoping for nidhogg pop just to lose claim to another linkshell or say "Hey Jorg is up, let's go try him in 3 hours when we're good and ready". It;s not like it's impossible and if your willing to tough the loss of XP learning then it's far from stupid. To some of us who haven't been around the block a dozen times it's not about the item drops or how easily we can win... but how much fun we can have trying a new challenge and enjoying the battle for what it is.

I have never bought a rare/ex item from another HNM LS, Serket's claw isn't rare/ex, nor is Serket an HNM. As such, I feel no moral objection to stating my opinion against it.

You seem to be hoping on the "defend my friend at all cost" bandwagon, when all I did was say I think it cheats the game to buy endgame items your LS didn't earn, and warn a player for "I think you're stupid" instead of keeping on the topic.

If you want to bring your superior ethics to the table, by all means do so, but again, I stated my opinon on the subject and you brought the extra attitude. Are you trying to say that because I strongly believe in things and others might disagree, I shouldn't defend my position/state my beliefs because other people might get upset? All of this drama is pointless, I stated my opinion based on what the thread had become, and you felt the need to bring your "holier than thou attitude" and tell me I was wrong. Not everyone can camp Fafnir 3 hours a day for the next month and surround themselves with people that are welling to do that.

FFXI is a MMO, MMO are about investing a lot of time to obtain large payoffs. Buying items off of linkshells that drop from NMS your own group has no chance of killing is cheating the system, and I'm entitled to my opinion that its as bad as RMT, just as you are that its not.

FI dominates Bahamut, and they will continue to dominate it forever, because as long as people continue to pay them for items they don't want off 3 Kings, they will camp them just for that reason.. Your LS will never get to fight these monsters if that persists, will never improve, and the purchased gear was better off not being purchased since it'll never get used.
