Last I checked I dont think any armor has the tag:
RDM, BLM, WHM, SMN, BRD - Must be in end game ls to be able to equip.

I'm merely stating that even if your example is dedicated, it is in no way the dedication that will eventually lead you to a RA/EX item from an HNM.

To fix all this bullshit: SE add more end game content! SE add more BC or KS for ABJ line! Fix end game Kings so that they are not 1/5 24hr spawns! Don't judge others or force your values onto others because its their choice to accept your suggestions or what you deem as a majority as right, because its nothing more then Ethical Relativism. What is deemed wrong by one group does not make it morally wrong for another group because their situation may be very diffrent from yours.

I don't feel Im trying to set a precedent, but more of just trying to point out ways the game has given us viable options to obtain the items at hand. (yes I was once a n00b who looked up to people in I.M. armor and AF1 was something I thought I would never achieve.)

I never let my current position in this game inhibit the things I could do or let it impede me. Just tried to aspire to bigger things.

I don't feel Im judging people, SE made things the way they are, and had the foresight to realize what they wanted to be RA/EX and purchasable for a reason. I'm just merely trying to make that clear. I dont think someones an evil or immoral person for purchasing a Hrotti. I just feel its not the way the game was intended to be, cheapens the worth of the item, and in turn cheapens the persons appreciation for said item.

Yet you leave the MAIN purpose of that specific quote out. Easy to take things out of context when they are... surprisingly... quoted out of context. The main purpose was that facts dont change, the inner workings of this game don't change, (unless the obvious patch, which if anything made NIN harder to tank as) but that only people's perception and knowledge of the game will change.

I stated why I wouldn't accept their opinion, and it went far beyond me just disagreeing with them. You don't accept my opinion as correct either. Are you then a communist? Its very easy Endo to play the mediator in the whole thing, and yet vehemetly disagree and shoot down everything I say, and yet act like you are only here to protect those who can't or choose not to speak for themselves.

I am not the only one here who is stubborn in their point of view, and am not the only person here who stands by what they feel can or cannot ruin how this game works. So many people discounted the impact that gilsellers would have so long ago, when me and a select few first realized them setting their roots in Upper Delkfutt. Well we see where that went.

Thank you. I also enjoy reading your posts as we both have something in common, and thats trying to get what we feel is the truth across. That interests me in someone. When I feel someone is speaking from their heart and their true opinions and interests are getting across to me.... I'm a happy camper. Unfortunately I enjoy arguing/debating a little too much and sometimes go to unneeded lengths to keep one up. Blame my childhood debates with my siblings, we're entirely too competitive.

So I bow out, as gracefully as I can manage amidst the mess I have created already, and hopefully completing a long needed last chapter to this debate.

So...I think that you can get pretty far with hard work in this game, LC...

However, there are some things that you just need to be in the right place at the right time...or the right LS. I tried pushing a sky LS to do ground NMs for a long time, using every method I knew of to motivate them, and it never worked. Even after killing a Nid and a KB, they wouldn't come out and camp.

So yea, 40 Fafs and 6 Nids are dedication and everything. But for some people, dedicating that much time to camp means camping alone because you haven't got a LS that will join you, whether they're lazy and want to idle jeuno, or whether they're 40, and have kids to play with after school.

Anyway, it's been a good read. ^_^

Not stretching it much... Once people get into FFXI and get totally obsessed with endgame you're not going to convince them any anything in the game matters besides endgame. The game stopped being "fun" for me months ago, I can't stand being in fuckin aery for 3 hours a day until I pull the plug on the game, but I have no choice in the matter. Go, or don't kill anything else fun at all.

If they added more and more low-end content then i'd actually have an excuse to go do something else. I just think it's the idea of wanting something DIFFERENT for the people who have reached 75 without having to start over again. Last census they took, like 55% of the people had at least one 75. That should be enough to continue to look toward endgame development.

All that being said, sea has a good purpose and limbus is fucking cool as hell. So yeah, i'm content for now.

No, you misunderstood what I was trying to convey in my post. People who look down upon others who don't have the same time to input into camping anything worthwhile imo are elitist pricks who ruin end-game content or lack thereof for those who don't have the same outlook on afore mentioned situation.
