HQ elemental staves aren't +15% MAB. They are just a flat-out +15% damage that is separate from MAB.

For what it is worth, someone posted at Allakhazam that Claustrum has a hidden effect of Autorefresh 3mp/tick when TP<100. They made no mention of a magic damage or magic accuracy bonus. However, for a SMN, that Autorefresh is effectively better than what the elemental staves do for them.

This would also work while you dont have your avatar out though, which short of soloing, is like 99% of the time.

ill take my 15mil HQ set over a 200+m relic. use currency for something useful like scythe sword or w/e

The 3 mp/tick is also effecitvely the same as what +10 hMP a dark staff will give you when resting.

Of course, you could swap gear right before the time of the healing tick to get an even bigger regen.
