I still don't have a scorpion harness lol. I've had money for it several times but I think there's better investments like when I bought Gigant Mantle. Evasion Torque was 700k when I bought it on Midgardsormr. I used ninja AF body from 58-64, used nq arhat's gi, then at 70 I got HQ gi but only for tanking harder stuff. I have a borrowed Byrnie for DDing though. One big reason why I hesitate on buying Scorpion Harness is because all the ninjas in my LS have Koga Chainmail so I'm next in line for it.

Senjuinrikio & Fudo should be better than other setups. I would try str equip rather than dex equip though. A pair of pallas and flame rings can add 19 str to your nin.

I never got nin af body lol, i got the peices i wanted/needed legs and pants i got head too but that was cause i had the coffer key and was pting in the tree when my pt found the chest for me while i was afk XD

Im elvaan so i got crap agl so i try and stock up on as much evasion/agl as i can. SH is perfect for nin though no matter what lvl, it's great for alot of things i really like Koga chainmail though, if you get that you probally wont want to put on your SH much even if you had it =)

SH is good for lvl caped zones/fights, like i used to do BCNM 60 alot, it's also nice for Ballista 60.

I was going to sell my hauberk for a haubergeon so i can use it for my nin and my drk. Byrnie is better though cause i hate the -20evasion on the haub.

I have an SH on me for Ultima/Omega volunteer fights and level cap stuff, people can trust me with stuff that costs millions and I return it back right when they want it back or when such and such event is over, I'm not worried. :D

And yes Mdn that's some good damage. ; ; Only done 1107 jin, don't have haidate or osode and such.

Well I have a Senj, Dissector, and Heart Snatcher all unlocked if the need arises. I mainhand Sword a lot for Stun so the Dissector is useful.

I guess I'll get a Fudo because I'm pretty crazy about Crit rate. Always used the Mamu for solo, but don't really need that crap, I'd like more damage unless it's something risky.

I use 2x Thunder Rings, Commander's Cape, and Byakko's Haidate, and have Crit+3% merits so I do quite a bit. I almost regret not using my Warwolf cause I got a Swift Belt, but screw it, I like haste. So I guess I'll keep my crit thing going.

Shiranui + Imanotsurugi for main use, Mamushito+1's for all bullshit things. No stat from any weapon can make up for regular stuns if they're going off enough.

Offtopic, though I figure it is relevant to ask here anyway. You'll have to excuse the stupidity of the post, but last time I played NIN was a long time ago, back when Mamushito +1 and Fudo were the only two 70+ katanas and merits had only just been introduced so I simply don't know.

I've seen quite a bit of ninja mention they have critical hit merits, not just here, but other forums and in game pt chat, etc. Considering the category, I'd have figured Enmity+ or hell even enemy critical down would be far more useful than upping your own critical merits. Is this a byproduct of people selecting merits cause of other jobs leveled, or is this simply the best choice for most NIN? Or is it just people love seeing their character do more damage and doesn't have as much to do with being absolutely optimal?

On the same note, I've seen at two NIN though as far as I know, only those two NIN, that have claimed they had max katana merit to. I'm curious about that cause I always figured pumping into evasion skill would be far better than katana skill.

you can only put 3 into defensive skills and 6 into offensive, so 3 evasion, 6 katana. then 3 into enmity and 3 into critical hit rate %

Crit Merit and Enmity are in the same category, and you can only up enmity 3 times, so that's plenty of room for critical hit+ merit.

I play NIN and PLD so I have no fear of upping enmity. I plan to play bard next but I don't think the enmity will be a huge issue.

I use senjuriniikoikoioo and mamushito +1 most of the time, but always have rai kunimitsu around for firesday. firesday plus nightime = rai kunimitsu and koga tekko = ejaculation

There are enough enmity+ gear out there for nin already. If you are having trouble holding hate without merits, chances are you won't hold it with merits. It would be helpful if you get a couple more from merits but honestly it's not worth gimping your characer.
