Logged in and BAM Knight Crabs started attacking a friend of mine (whm). There was one other SMN there and so we started killing Knight Crabs...

Me an whm in party and smn standing there...KA pops and we claim, not doing enuff dmg so LS SMN comes and we invite the SMN that was there...

Lets just say we barely beat KA before frenzy timer...1min. No belt and JP SMN got the Cloth with a 991 lot...out lotting our whm of 947 ><.


It was nice though cause we killed KA just as the JP Owners of KA showed up...those guys monopolize him like crazy. Felt good having someone else get him.


Maybe get him again after this maintance 2 KA claims in one day...doubt it...but maybe get lucky.

Not really. They usually have some stuff that can cause frenzy to the economy. Just look at the last update.

The way that the following items are acquired has been changed:
Archer Ring, Leaping Boots, Emperor Hairpin, Peacock Charm
In addition, players may receive an EX/Rare or EX item with the same attributes from the monsters who previously dropped each of the above items.


That would caused massive changes to the item prices if people knew about it before the update.

RNG and NIN were 'enhanced' during that update. RNG became more RNG'ery and I guess SE didn't see that as a nerf.

Ceremonial Daggers just plummeted in price, and /goodbye to skilling up on dolphins in sea overnight while you sleep.

Yes I know. Were you aware that you could auto-attack the Dolphins in sea with a DMG:1 weapon and go afk (i.e. bed for the night)? They don't attack unless you hit them for more than 0.

This has always been an ability in the game, but the mobs always aggroed so you at least had to sleep them. They actually had to patch it after the dolphin exploit.
