just because a sub item caps at 35, doesnt mean the sub-craft portion caps at that level. why ??

Behemoth Leather caps at 70
yet, it is an ingredient for the Unicorn set, but it is a bonecraft main synth. Darksteel Sheet is a 55 cap as well.
So lets use Unicorn Cap for an example

* Bonecraft (99) Smithing (?) Leathercraft (?)
o Crystal: Earth
o Ingredients: Darksteel Sheet, Gold Thread, Tiger Leather, Behemoth Leather, Unicorn Horn
o Result: Unicorn Cap
o HQ #1: Unicorn Cap +1

The leathercraft cap should, I repeat SHOULD from what I learned be capped at 60 rather then 70. And chances are, yes, the smithing sub for that would still be 55.

And btw he was doing the correct forumla for the subskill, he just had the wrong level cap information so he was off by a few points

Nope. Arhats stuff is tier 1 for smithing. Rarely is it at the cap of that item in most cases.

Im going to try to HQ weskit in the next few days,
but I dont really know anything about crafting, but i do have a crafter,
the question is, what day is the best to HQ weskit?,
and i read some posts on this thread, that the sub which is alch/leather for weskit also a factor for HQing.
So any suggestion what i should tell to my crafter?

the best example of the fact that subcraft cpa isn't realy based on the item's cpa in the craft it is is orichalcum lance, since i belivee it's 90+ woodworking but uses an orichalcum ingot >.>

HQ'ing a Weskit is like getting 100 Clothcraft. Accomplishing either puts you far ahead the stages of evolution to any known deity.

weskit is fun, because its a 90+ bonecraft synth...you cant even hit a tier 1 w/+skill and adv.supp. but the REALLY fun part is that it has TWO subcrafts...both leather and alchemy...while i have seen a couple genie weskits floating around on my server, the chance that you will get one is like .1% but to answer you question, its an earth synth, so i believe stand facing SE and craft lightsday newmoon
