I wasn't getting my wisdom teeth removed, i was there for something else (something less disgusting, i take care of my teeth) but they had to put me to sleep to do it because i didnt wanna stay awake for it.

I wasn't aware the drugs they put in me would make me feel all tripy lol.

When i finally had them pulled, i was so sick, i couldn't eat for 2 weeks, and couldn't even keep water down. the good news was i lost a lot of weight!! >.>;;

I was given the choice of complete numbing of my face or getting the IV anesthesia to put me to sleep.

IF you do get that choice.. do yourself a favor and get the full sleep.

Only pain was for the first day really. Except when eating, that lasted awhile

I got lucky, i have 3 missing wisdom tooth, and one of them is like stuck under at a weird angle, and wont cause any harm to me. So no need to pull that out in a while

I got all 4 out a couple years ago. The bleeding stopped overnight, and you couldn't even notice any swelling. There was some horrific pain the next morning but that all stopped when they upped the weak drugs I was using to Tylenol 3 I was back at work within 3 days.

I screwed up and had the Army take mine out before I left... one FANTASTIC military doctor later and part of my face is numb for the rest of my life. They apparently cut a nerve or something and I will never feel anything in the lower half of my left cheek again.

But don't worry, because "it's an extremely rare chance, maybe .1%, that anything bad will happen".

When I had mine removed, they gave me meds 3 days before going to the surgery. When I got there, they slept me and when I wake up the only thing that hurt was trying to open my mouth to wide to fit a spoon of soup in it xD.
