Yeah... also outparsered incredibly decked out RNGs in all situations. Especially Statue PTs.. your DoT just completely overrides any advantage a RNG had/has.

I wish war/thf was better past 50 or so but it's just really not the case. 2 handed weapons, even with jacked attack will just not cut it vs the dot of axes, plus when you get 55 and rampage....forget it. Early on SA+Sturmwind owns all but raging rush/steel cyclone are just not worth losing the dot.

Being a rng at heart, my first job and all, even before sushi...

Just to put some numbers out there, pre-nerf:
With ONLY Dia II and atk food, no def down bolts or minuet...
Rangers with top gear and a "few" marksmenship merit points used to do 178 base damage + 50 light damage.
1300+ slugshot
1000+ barrage every 5 minutes, rarely misses.
Keep in mind barrage + 1 additional shot usually = another slugshot...
Effectively making barrage = 1000 + 1300 dmg


I have never seen a warrior put out those kinds of numbers DoT or whatever pre/post patch.

But i do agree 100% that the new DD is WAR.

Was recently in a 4 War/nin + brd + smn pt.
Me playing both the smn and brd...
getting 8.5k exp/hr in sky.
It made me sick... just goes to show when a bunch of noobs bitch enough , SE will listen and nerf any job.

Oh I wasn't talking about here on Ragnarok but on Asura where Aurik posted that's what the going price for a NQ Haubergeon is. On Ragnarok they're still 2-3 mil. We're quite a cheap server in my opinion.

Xavier has a 75 SAM and it's almost like he doesn't see the incredible use SAM has for a ton of things lol.

Maybe I should level WAR next, 3rd highest job anyway.

SAM's only incredible use is for trick attack WS on tanks. Straight up Kirins and wyrm fights it'd be a better choice than war/nin but for everything else war/nin owns.

SAM's awesome for Fafnir/Nidhogg and does really well on Wyrms along with for skillchains on them and such. As for Kirin, SAM does pretty well on that too, Tachi: Gekko usually lands for about 500-600~ or something. can hit for 900-1000.
