    Here is my story. I was in exp two nights ago when I was zoned into jail. The GM (Luminious) said that I had been found guilty of using a 3rd party tool (TP plugin) and since this was my second offense for using this tool, I was going to be suspended for 72 hours and my account reviewed for termination.

    He refused to answer any of my questions and then forcibly zoned me without saying anything else.

    The next evening after I got off work, I called SE's Customer Service office and asked to speak with the manager. I explained to him what happened and then informed him that I was going to be issuing a chargeback for this month since I paid for a service and was not being allowed to use it for the specified amount of time.

    At this point he tried to disuade me by saying that chargebacks are a huge hassle on their part and require a lot of paperwork (meaning, he didn't want to do it) and that it might be serveral months before the money would be refunded. I told him that this was fine and that at least I would be getting compensation.

    He then examined my account and magically, the "ban" the GM had placed was no longer there. Apparently I am only suspended until 12 AM PST 10/21. Either the GM was bullshitting and trying to get me to admit to using the plugin, the manager lied to me (which would have been illegal), or the manager didn't feel like processing the paperwork necessary for a chargeback and removed the ban.

    Either way, I found out in 9 hours whether or not I'm unbanned. Depending on the outcome I get to call SE again and ask why their management lied to me.

    H20, I'm humbling myself right now as I write this. I've been a dick to you, and we've been cool with each other all the same. I would never say that I didn't like or respect you, for what that's worth to you.

    Reading this made me very depressed. You deserve your place on Bahamut, and that's plain and simple.

    What can I do, and please, someone suggest something. I won't let this happen, it's not right.

    H20, the entire Bahamut server lost someone we shouldn't have and I'll do whatever I can to fight this.

    Please don't give in, it's not over yet.

    POL: Form mail on the website, they don't give specific addresses unless you're particularly belligerent.

    The websites on my post were the Better Business Bureau both nationally and in my home state as well as the Committee for Fair Business Practices.

    Even if you feel powerless to do anything, that doesn't mean you shouldn't do anything at all. At least you will have tossed in your opinion no matter how things are resolved. Or not resolved. Then you can speak with the next GM that confronts you over this bullshit without feeling like a doormat. My 2 cents, anyway.

    Just setup a date + time where 100+ people on bahmut ALL agree to call a GM saying Free MWM or some shit. It would be even better if you had 250+. anything less then 50 is crap.

    To whom this may concern:

    I am currently a player on the Bahamut server, FFXI, PC, and have been there since NA launch. A person on the server, Mrwatermonkey was banned yesterday. I have viewed countless screenshots from the conversations with the GM. It seems that there is a double standard being played. Countless times I have seen people cursing, yelling at someone with derogatory language. Not once has there ever been someone banned because of this. The reply from your POL support desk is "We regret that this has happened, and we will look into it. In the mean time we suggest you utilize the blacklist function in game". Now that is amazing to me considering one of our fellow player was just banned for the same thing. I will not even comment on the excesive downtime that your service has caused. It fits, that a company with an F rating with the BBB has such blatant disregard for their customers. Not only has the excessive downtime not been updated with reasons as to why, but now one of the most respected players on the server has been banned for a choice of words? Might I remind you that, your manual plainly states that there is, by default a language filter placed on the game. Only by your own act can that filter be removed. By removing the filter are you not consenting that you may see "Words" that could offend you? I am not saying that its ok to use certain words, but I do feel that it was a tad extreme to ban him for it. Can you imagine how uneducated the world would be if every child was kicked out of school for having a "potty mouth"? You have company's who are making money off of you, while blatantly disregarding your TOS. Yet you go after a customer who has remained loyal to you since the launch of the game here in the US. Does customer loyalty mean nothing? Tell me now so that I don't have to continue spending my money on your products as I have done for the last 13 years.
