Hacked.

Rise of the Phoenix forums were "hacked" some hours ago... when I say "hacked", I actually mean that somebody exploited few security holes on our old version of phpBB. No data was stolen from our server and no passwords or user accounts were compromised. All this accomplished was getting rid of the old forum mods we used and upgrading the phpBB so this kinda shit doesn't happen.
Now why am I posting this to FFXI Talk? Well, take a look at this picture taken from my mySQL database, and maybe you'll get a clue:

As I said on RotP forums, I'm not gonna start pointing fingers or assume that FI did this. All I know is FI is a FFXI LinkShell name, so I'm assuming that somebody playing FFXI and possibly playing on Bahamut server did this. And I want to find out who.
I'm going through my access logs to find out who did this, and if and when I find out the IP of the person who did this, I am going to report this to his/her internet service provider.
This was pretty childish of the person who did this, as he/she did this twice, and I ignored it the first time and just fixed my themes. Doing this twice shows that this said person does this on purpose.
If any of you have information on who did this, send me a PM or something.

Of course I did but I don't have enough knowledge of Bahamut to know RiseOfThePhoenix is a Bahamut LS and the way you worded your comment about FI made it seem like you don't really know who they are.

You should ALWAYS keep your forum software updated no-matter-what.

Most of these hacks are worms that are written and just spread via the internet. I would be suprised if it was an actual person wasting their time to hack a forum just because they think it would be cool. By the looks of what you said (name, passwords, information not changed etc) It looks like a worm spreading and you just got bit by it.


Update your phpBB.

I don't think anyone who replied to this thread actually read my post... no, it wasn't an actual hack, like I said before. Yes, my phpBB is updated now so that this won't happen again.
NO. I do not have a template called "FI black", and anyone with half a brain knows that when the template name says "aaa=12;eval(stripslashes($_REQUEST[nigga])" etc. somebody has fucked around with it.
And NO it wasn't a worm. Nor a virus.
This was done by somebody on purpose, and I would very much like to know who.
